The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Lagos Zonal office, has arrested 18 suspected internet fraudsters in Lagos State, Nigeria.

Igbere TV gathers the names of the suspects as Abass Mukhtar, Enitan Adekunle, Olakunle Araoyinbo, Korede Adetule, Christmas Gabriel, Christmas Yole, Christmas Emmanuel and Harrison Obayogbono.

Others are Victor Kenneth, Adewale Musibau, Oluwajuwon Shofuyi, Idris Abdulazeez, Oyeku Adeoye, Omilana Adeleke, Okeke Chucks, Peters Olamide, Abayomi Jones and Usman Olalekan.

They were arrested in the early hours of Friday, September 27, 2019 at different locations in the Alagbado area of Lagos State, following intelligence received by the Commission about their alleged involvement in criminal activities.

According to the EFCC, during the raid, about five of the suspects attempted to escape arrest by hiding in the ceiling of their apartments but they were fished out and arrested.

Items recovered from the suspects include charms, phones, laptops and five cars-Hyundai Sonata, Toyota Camry 2004 model, Toyota Camry 2007 model, Toyota Camry 1999 model and Honda Pilot.

In a statement obtained by Igbere TV on Friday, the EFCC said the suspects would soon be charged to court.

There was a time I was harrassed by this nonentites, I develop Softwares and solve computer related issues and some one saw me and thought i was one of dem, he/she reported me, and one tuesday they came into mah room and collected mah Laptop, my tab, my smartphone and my small torch-light, put me in the back of their car and was about to zoom off before i ask what is my crime, they said i was a internet fraudster and they had received intel from a reliable source to backup their claim.

They said mah softwares for one, most expecially mah social-media, too bad for them i was not much of a social media fan, so they called their socalled "Professional" to search through and even some of them went ahead to scan mah system, come and see comedy when the softwares they were seeing was....

Lol reading just made me laugh because I know of someone they did exact thing to. That's why when I see all this I just laugh. Wasted his precious time going through this and that.
