It is WRONG to conclude that Nigerian youths are neither lazy nor hopeless. There are overwhelming list accomplishments as hard evidence to prove this. However, a large number of Nigerian youths seem stranded as a result of theoretical education and lack economic opportunities, which ordinarily should make them angry. Inexplicably, there is annoying lack political consciousness among them, which is an area of interest to Deji Adeyanju. Reasons for this should be a matter of serious research by sociologists. It is important to note that in some places especially in Northern Nigeria, absence of right parental guidance, poverty, archaic culture, insensitive government and absymal formal education have all conspired to offer NOTHING to the most young people right from childhood. Therefore, they grow up without purpose and ambition other than beg to survive or earn marginally to meet needs, marry and observe religious obligations. 1 Like |

How stupid can you be to accept you are lazy? Everybody here has a generator, sources for his own water, those that have cars paid in full, no car loan, some of our youths are now members of the joint task force, fighting terrorists, some are forest guards without adequate gear, No grants after finishing or during school, no respite, hardship galore, so much so that like the North we have loved our oppressors.
