Positive is that A point at Trafford is fairly okay, though 3 points was possible against this average utd side, but its still a rivalry encounter and both teams will raise their game..

Also we're back to 4th, we are going unbeaten until we go to Etihad...

Bellerin,Laxazette,Tierney,Holding, Ozil and mustafi should be back fully in October..

We need to go back for Everton Soarez , Pepe has not done more than Iwobi,Welbeck and Saka for us, He just must prove himself at Chelsea, City and spurs ground, else he's a goner.

BlueRayDick:
From Wenger days I've diagnosed Xhaka's problem; He can't mark to save his life. He can't disposses an opposing player without committing a foul. Each time I see him going into a challenge I know with 95% Confidence interval he will foul the player.

I don't get surprised each time he gets booked . I even thought he was booked early and he was going to get a red when he actually got yellow.

The only rational reason I can think of as to why he starts for arsenal is his physique and long passes. Other than that he's shi.t!
... The way Greenwood fooled him was beautiful; that move was sweet but I think he tried except for the goal. His professional fouls were good today and surprise, surprise he got his card late because he was really protected today.

..... He is the glue that holds our midfield for now hence why both Wenger and Emery keep playing him. I hope we get another physical player with his skill set but for now he will keep starting.

To be honest, I can't be happy with the nonsense we played today. FFS, can't we play one match this season without playing like cowards? I've not enjoyed on match this season, and slowly, I'm losing interest in watching Arsenal matches. Because, we somehow make every single team better than they actually are.

I understand some fans opinion for wanting to give Emery more time, but they should also realize that the more time you give, the likelier things would go worse. But who knows, he could turn things around (I doubt, especially in terms of out style of play).

Finally, welcome to the EPL, Pepe. I remember when Sane newly entered the league, for the first six months, he was rubbish. But, he picked up from Jan of that year. Hopefully, Pepe will have a similar story. I can't imagine the kinda pressure on him now. And he is not helping his case.

Well, we are just six games in. Things can change around for a player within seconds. I pray Pepe finds his form. If not... Lemme just keep quiet.

Shout out to Saka, Guen and Chambers. They were the only people who looked as if they wanted to play ball. Leno did well too.

I know some people feel our defensive setup is better now, however, I don't agree. Everybody knows United is limited attack wise. A decent team will still show is shege, especially with our so called organization.

As much as I like Unai, please Arsenal use cane push him, Abeg. The guy is not a good fit for us. I can't imagine what will happen when we play Leicester, City and Chelsea. Those teams don't surrender possession to anybody. And we know Arsenal cannot survive under constant pressure.

It will be a fun season. Either we enter level of banter era or we get things right.

Lastly, I hope Chambers and Kola did not pull their hamstrings.

.... Everton, when Pepe is still fumbling. Everton is expensive oh, I don't think Arsenal will splash another 70 -80m in January except if We are actually going for the title.

.... Lacazette coming back will mean Auba to the wings and that will make our offense worse in my opinion especially since Pepe is still finding his feet.

.... I will be really surprised if Emery doesn't play with a ten after his fullbacks are back. Perhaps he is resting Ozil for that grin

Maybe I was watching a different team. But, if it's the match they played today (Sep 30), Omo I did not see anything that resembled a tactical battle. However, what do I know? I'm only a Nairaland analyst.

.... I know bro but that's just how I want to interpret the match make pesin no get heart problem because of football. For the second time this season, my mind no cut when United dey use passes and quick movement move around us. So I disagree with your other post, the organisation was better.

Auba can score and create from RW, that LW is a no no no...
Emery should move Auba to the RW, Lava to CF and Saka to LW, Pepe should be coming from the bench

Na every game be tactical battle
Na every game we must not go full throttle else we pay dearly.

Which EPL game have we gone “full throttle“ on this season?

It’s game week 7, and in some minutes October will be here with us.

..... Baba, wetin you want make I do, na the coach decision be that. If you have a defense of Luiz and Papa and that our disjointed midfield that is only beginning to take shape now, you sef go respect yourself. Bare in mind that Auba is our only decent forward except for Laca and Saka that is really coming up. Pepe na error currently so the man gets be cautious especially with slow fullbacks.

... No worries, I go queue for the #Emeryout form if he still continues with this cautious approach when the defense is fine but for now, he is getting the points and keeping us in the top four battle. Except for style of play, I see no cause for alarm.

..... Besides Chelsea went full throttle and chop four goals. United have deadly finishers even if they are average at the moment.

That Saka boy was really impressive today sha, truth be told.

It seemed as if Saka was the £75M signing and Pepe was the teenager making his 2nd league start for Arsenal.

I just hope Saka decides to represent Nigeria and not England. A front three of Saka, Osimhen and Chukwueze would make us a force to reckon with in the future..

Honestly compared to what we played against liverpool watford , frankfurt and to some extent Villa, This is the best off the ball organization i have seen so far from us. Its not a great united team but they were playing at home and credit goes to the lads for keeping it compact and denying them too much space which was characteristic of our earlier games.

There are two sides to a game , when you have the ball and when you don't have it. A great team must know how to play both. I dont give a shit about whether you pack galacticos or not. If you cannot defend without the ball. You will lose games to superior attacks. Even man city got destroyed by Monaco and Liverpool for slack defensive organisation which many teams have not been brave enough to take advantage of.

The Invincibles were not only superior attack wise but they also had a backbone of Viera and Gilberto silva whom were masters at protecting the defense and nullifying attacks even before the attack got going. Fabihno and Henderson seem to be doing same for Liverpool at the moment which gives the likes of Sadio Mo and Firmino more freedom. Take off the ball organization away from any team and they will concede goals easily even if they had the best attackers in the world

David Luiz was excellent today. The kind of performance he was brought in produce in this kind of game. Kept Rashford in his pocket and dealt with everything with minimal fuss.

4th place, unbeaten in the last 6 games, didn't lose away at Old trashford which is a tough away ground to go to. I thought you all wanted us to try something different when playing the top teams awayhuh? Wenger was crucified when we attacked away to the big clubs and took a trashing. We approach the game different this time and fans still moan. Lord have mercy............

Tactical battle does not necessarily mean the match was interesting and/or of high standard.
When two teams aim at cancelling each other out- and they actually doing so, means it's a tactical battle. This match, however boring was a tactical battle. The fans may be sad but the coaches are happy.
