Although, their international allegiance is still in doubt, the Chelsea duo took to their Instagram story this morning to celebrate the Nigerian independence day - fuelling rumours of their readiness to pick the Nigerian Super Eagles over the English Three Lions.

He is a very good and solid defender. I love his pace, composure and passing skills. He is also very strong and matured as well. I hope he continues to improve - he has always expressed his readiness to play for Nigeria - I hope NFF makes the move before the English F.A.

In reality, they do prefer to play for Nigeria(its their roots) but they usually do fear the uncertainty around making such a choice.
