selemempe:you people will just type anything on google, swallow every chunk seen and vomiting them at will. Can you provide what the senate formation of the country was as at independence for the country to have a senate president which Nnamdi Azikiwe was, like you claimed? Any credible and published reference to that? Nigerian Federal election held in December 1959, bringing the alliance of NPC and NCNC to form a government. They had a deal among themselves, ie NCNC and NPC, Sir Tafawa Balewa, Sir Ahmadu Bello and Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe being the chief actors and all were able to reach a deal. We all know the system, which was parliamentary. Tafawa Balewa became the Prime Minister, while Nnamdi Azikiwe would be the Governor General after Sir James Robertson had left finally for Britain (Robertson eventually relinquished in November) which he did in November, about a month after the independence. So tell us the role Azikiwe held as the Senate President then. |

selemempe:Stop exhibiting your Ignorance here. Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe was the Senate President pre-Independence. He was waiting for confirmation by the parliament to resume his responsibility as the Governor General. It took over a month before he could resume as the Governor General because Sir Tafawa Balewa Plead Sir James Robertson to hold on for a while as the Governor General until the whole Independence ceremony had finally come to an end which was on the 10th of November, I960. So what is the justification for your ignorance on the claim? Tolexander: |
