Not discouraging. I've handed in mine, but just giving others heads up.

What do they mean by "applicants must have gotten admission from United Kingdom institution"?

Not discouraging anybody but 60% of people who sit for the aptitude test of this recruitment don't even apply at first, na connection, secondly 90% of average Nigerians who sit for the test........well, that's as far as they go. less than 2% of the average Nigerians actually get the scholarship, d rest na padi padi

Dr. Daniel olukoya of MFM won it when he was a poor unknown fresh unilag graduate.

Not true!

1. There is no aptitude test. The Federal Scholarship Board only conduct interviews
2. The FSB only nominates
3. Any body prior invitation to the interview MUST apply, write the essays and submit on the portal.

So if you don't have admission with a UK university, you are not qualified to apply?

You can apply for the scholarship. Apply for admission to chosen schools alongside. You should have secured admission by the time of interview by FSB.

What about classless degrees?

this one they say that the applicants must have first degree, minimum 2:1. I have BSc. 2:2, and MSC of 4.1 CGP, am I eligible to apply for PhD?

Yeah! Buy hope you are aware that the Commonwealth scholarship is not a Federal Government Scholarship. The FSB is only a nomination agency. Being nominated does not even mean you will be awarded the scholarship.

"Each year, the CSC invites selected nominating bodies to submit a specific number of nominations. The deadline for nominating bodies to submit nominations to the CSC is 18 December 2019
The CSC invites around three times more nominations than scholarships available – therefore, nominated candidates are not guaranteed to be awarded a scholarship. There are no quotas for scholarships for any individual country. Candidates nominated by national nominating agencies are in competition with those nominated by other nominating bodies, and the same standards will be applied to applications made through either channel."
