My points:
You may want to include some pleasantries e.g. ca va? Since it is to a friend and an informal write up, ask after family, work or school before plunging into the invite.

Also for TEF, not sure of TCF, we are advised not to repeat words....use synonyms....find other words for aura and sera.

2nd line may be better will "qui aura lieu le ..... ", I was also advised to include the year when writing dates.

Also you might want to use some adjectives to qualify how wonderful the concert will be e.g vraiment, extremement etc

After writing, look over for spelling errors like line 3 ....dans

Line 6 might be better with "Beattles" in quotation marks.

Well, I have a French background, but I still have to brush up my French with a tutor.TEF is somehow hard, u gat to be prepared, otherwise u will spend alot. I am currently undergoing training with the online tutor @ www.tobidam.com He's quite known here. If u like, u may contact him, find his details at the down part of the site's homepage.

If you need 4 points in total, YES! very doable in 3 months.

If you want 4 in EACH category, well technically, you can't. You can either get 6, 3, 1 or zero.

Let's assume you want 3 in each category, this is nearly impossible in 3 months if you have a minimal background.

I prayed and God sent you to me! I'm yet to decide but I'm considering Montreal. I've got to decide real fast as my deadline is approaching. What is it like leaving in Montreal in terms of work, social life, and cost?

Social Life: Montreal is great. Social life is amazing here. Very multicultural. If you are single and enjoy going out, there are a lot of places to go. People come from Ottawa to enjoy the clubs in Montreal. There are also quite a few Nigerians, there was a Nigerian picnic a few weeks ago during summer. There are also a few Naija restaurants and African shops that sell all the "Naija good stuff" if you are the type that has to stick to Naija food. As expected, there are more Francophone Africans and Haitians than Anglophones, but there are still a lot of Nigerians, especially in the Lachine area.

Work: This depends on what your profession is and your level of fluency in French. For example, if you speak French and are an IT Professional, you would probably get a great job within 1-2 months. Even if you dont speak French but you work in IT , you have a high chance to get a good job. I am into IT, and my French is not so great, but there are still a lot of opportunities in IT. I am not sure about other professions, but my opinion is with French, you have leverage to get a job without much stress.

Costs: Quebec's taxes are one of the highest in Canada, so thats tough. However, they offer more benefits than most of Canada. FOr accommodation, you can get a "room and palour" for between 600 to 1000 and more, depending on the area. There are also opportunities for shared accommodation, where you pay even less, maybe 200-350 per month because you share an apartment. A 2 bed would be around 750-1200 or more. Depends on the facilities and location.

So how well do people speak English there? In as much as I love French, I'd still need to be with people who understand the good old English so I won't feel alienated if the French becomes too much. Lol

If you respond "Bonjour", they'll speak to you in French. Generally, you can get by in most places in Montreal with English. Places like Notre Damme de Grace, Westmount, West Island seem to be more Anglophone. The north of Montreal is more Francophone. You'll feel right at home

My French is at B1 level, not fluent, I speak English 90% of the time, and i get by. You , my friend, would have no problems as an English & French speaker. You are exactly the type of immigrant that they are looking for.

I thank God. I consider myself incredibly fortunate considering how I approached this exam. I focused exclusively on EE (reading fait divers, practicing formats and some specialised vocabulary), ignoring all other sections until a night before.

EE: I had the good fortune of practicing some EE question shared here. Definitely helped. I struggled to understand what the section B topic...I had only 1 good postive argument. so I did a "For-Against-For Against" and summarized. Was already familiar with the original news article for section A so this helped me find the time to do both sections and look out for orthographic errors. It's difficult to ID the key thing that moved the score up. Was it the corrections, was it some phrases? 2 things I'll say is that it will help to read a lot of fait divers stories and you have to definitely read the exam questions carefully on the day to avoid OP.

EO: I practiced for the EO a night before the exam just practicing only classic fall back phrases and exploring possible argument scenarios.

CE: same first and last 10 approach; most texts featured again.

CO: The normal stuff (focus)
