American gymnast Simone Biles has continued to prove that she is a force to reckon with in the sports world. The 2016 Olympic individual all-around, vault and floor gold medalist, and balance beam bronze medalist who has become famous for her sole aim of breaking past records have broken another major record.

Though the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympic is just a little less than a year away, 22-year-old Simone Biles is constantly delivering jaw-dropping, historic performances and according to CNN, she just earned the title of the most decorated female gymnast in history by winning her 21st World Championship medal—and 15 of those medals are gold, which is another record.

Goes to show that HARD WORK and PESERVERANCE pays. The lady started early as a gymnast, then when she was a teenager, she moved hundreds of miles away from her family to another part of the country to settle and train even more to be the best at her field.

Today, she is reaping the fruits of her sacrifices.

2.Where is the interest? If people are not coming to watch a certain sport, money, funding and even the number of people interested in taking up that sport falls drastically. Here in Nigeria, when people talk of sport...it is football, and maybe track athletics.

Add the fact that many Nigerian parents don't want their children to be professional athletes in any sport , talkless of gymnastics.
