Midsommar

I really liked this movie. Watched it twice, back to back, theatrical release and director's cut. To me, it's a movie about empathy, loss, and finding a real support network. Dani's anxiety battle turning to detachment was a realistic depiction of one way our brains process and deal with that sort of thing. That said, I had some problems with what they didnt show, as I felt that I needed to be rewarded more for time spent.

Overall, this film ain't bad at all. Ari Asta is a generational talent, Florence Pughs performance was incredible, and Jack Reynors performance was amazing.

7.5/10

SUBJECTIVELY, he is right then. Your post here means you agree it's down to different choices. grin

Subjectivity, you said it yourself, or are you calling yourself a liar now?

It's ridiculous, cuz we can't both be right when we are at opposite end of a discussion. The reason I don't like going the "subjective" route is it destroys discussion's integrity. With this mindset, anyone can be right, even when they are wrong. I only used "subjectivity" to prove a point at the absurdity of the whole discussion, seeing that he ruined it the moment he started pleading subjectivity.

Okay, I haven't watched both movies to form my opinion (will do so next week), but let's say he's wrong, how then do you fault the judgements of other film critics who adjudged that Norton was denied the award? That's if assertion about him being wrong is on the Norton-Benigni debate not on Fassbender VS Leo debate.

This Koice is one person I won't want to have a "traffic collision issue" with.
You will spend ages trying to determine who hit who.

There is no right and wrong in the strict sense of the word(s), just different perspectives.

Given enough time to spew gibberish and if you don't know better, I have a friend who will try to convince you that Abacha is the best thing to happen to Nigeria.

You're not getting it. It's not the original topic of discussion, it's an offshoot, which he invented to back up his assertions that Fassbender deserved an Oscar over DiCaprio for their respective roles, which in itself is another offshoot of our original discussion, of which being, Joaquin Phoenix vs Bradley Cooper.

My disagreement is a reaction to his water shodding. Doesn't mean I disagree, rather, that the discussion has lost it's merit.

You're wrong though. Objectivity is based on facts, while subjectivity is based on personal perspective. The sky being blue is a fact, which is objective. A colour-blind person however, may have a different opinion, based on their personal perspective, but at the end of the day, the sky will still be blue. You grab?

A color blind person sees color, just not certain colours, particularly, red, green and blue.

so why would any person take the perspective of such a person as fact when they can see just a handful of colours.

Seems men have a degree of colour blindness because most men I know, my male relatives included call blue green, and green, blue.

not really, an erect penis_ only sees the world through one perspective (chop and clean mouth) but when an erect penis_ that is guided by a discerning brain comes to play, the sky is but a stepping stone, thus, cheers to your coochie.

I strongly disagree, good sir. An erect penis has no brain
