Telling a muslim not to support his fellow muslim is like pouring water into a basket. It will never happen.

I am a middlebelter from Plateau state but I have given up on a united middlebelt struggle involving tribes like Nupes, Ebiras & Bariba people and even to an extent Igalas. Why? These people are predominantly muslims and will readily betray their own future to please the caliphate.
I am now for the unity of only predominantly christian middlebelt tribes like Plateau, Southern Kaduna, Taraba, Nasarawa, Adamawa, FCT and Southern Gombe/Southern Borno, together with Benue.

The only hope for a strong union for the Igbos in Nigeria is with the Niger deltans & northern/middlebelt christian tribes. We may not be a majority but we will be almost half of Nigeria and strong enough to shake the country from it's roots without any fear of anyone betraying each other. Afterall we all have a common opposition in the core-north.
you have spoken well, a yoruba Muslim is a willing tools in the hand of northern Muslim, and they will betray their brothers from south without blinking an eyes. Except christians in Nigeria understand the kind of politics this Muslims are playing in Nigeria we will always be at their mercy, i trust my northern christians brothers they will always vote a christian but yoruba christians will tell you they dont have religion difference in SW, little did they know that their muslim brothers are playing the religion card, check the fight between igbos and yorubas here on nairaland is born out of hatred for ignores because they are Christians and yoruba Muslims are behind it, but trust me igbos are like a bone in the neck of Muslims in Nigeria we cannever be dominated or intimidated.

I think this fracas has happened like thrice in the last few years from what I read online.

Masquerades can flog christians, but they will run and never come to challenge these masquerades in a religious view like the Yoruba muslims did. The yoruba muslims were very much aware of the Oro procession but still decided to defy.
Oh so you’re using just one case as your sample point. It’s normal lol, this same thing happened in Ibadan before when the Christian cherubim and seraphim church challenged the same Oro festival.

It’s a normal thing, you shouldn’t have categorized that as a religion violence coz they just protested peacefully against what they don’t want.

I know you are Igbo, let me ask you some questions:

Why did you like the Christian Northerners?
Why did you like Israel?
Why did the Igbos vote a Fulani Muslim in 2019?

What about the rapid spread of Christianity through Africa? Isn’t it through violence also or is it because the white man hide under missionaries to enslave us and inturn force Christianity on Africans?

Tbh, I really don’t know the difference between the Hausa and Fulani coz to me they are one. But since you’re from the middle belt you will know them more than I do coz you’ve lived with them.

Gracias.
Pls don't argue what you don't know!

The European colonialists and the christian missionaries (who were partly American) were very different groups of people!

The colonialists never had any business with religion. In fact they even protected islam like the case of northern Nigeria.

If not for the British who told the christian missionaries to respect the caliphate and it's indirect rule, Northern Nigeria would have been like 80% christian today.

The caliphate and the British had an agreement in the Northern protectorate/region with the missionaries that in every town they enter and they found a mosque, they must never preach the gospel in that area.

In fact the British wanted the missionaries never to enter the north and they promoted Hausa islamic settlements all over the middlebelt, so that all the pagan tribes can become muslim and one with Hausa fulanis, so as not to tamper with the indirect rule and hegemony of their precious north.

If not for the stuborness of the missionaries, the north and middlebelt (minus Benue) would have been 100% muslim.

The same British who even forced the missionaries to use Hausa language to evangelize the pagan tribes, so as not to affect the linguistic Hausanization of the north.

The missionaries wanted to use Ngas (a widely spoken Plateau language). This would have united all the northern minority tribes into a new large ethnic group, leaving the north with 2 major ethnic groups which the British never wanted!

Any body saying African colonialism and the spread of christianity is related is a big morön. (sorry for using such a word on you).

i like humanity equally that's why we can vote a northern or yoruba Muslim against a christian as long as he can carry everybody along, but that can't be said of a Muslim he play the religion card first before humanity.i like northern christians because they love me, i dont care about Israel because first they hate me as a black secondly they dont care about me but if they show me love i will return back the love.

The Yoruba muslims voted Jonathan in 2011 even with a Muslim northerner on the ballot.

The Yoruba muslims voted for 5 Christian governors in the SW without no noise.

Osinbajo is a Christian and he voted Buhari, infact pastor Adegboye in 2011 supported APC with a Buhari on the ballot.

Don’t you see that the more you guys try to bring this ridiculous statement of Yoruba muslims supporting the North the more stupid it projects you.

When the Igbos voted Shagari a Muslim northerner against Awolowo a Christian , what should we call the Igbos?

The problem of you guys is that you see other people in your image which to me is absurd coz people are TOTALLY different.

Then going by your warped assumptions that Igbo vote a Muslim coz they thought their interest will be protected, why then are you blaming the Yorubas that voted Buhari who also thought their interest will be protected.

Don’t you think something is fundamentally wrong with your way of thinking bro.

I did not abuse you bro, check my reply well.

In 2011, Jonathan won all the states in the SW except Osun against a Muslim candidate In ACN even with a Muslim-Christian population of the SW in nearly 50/50 proportion. That is your answer.

Look below, this is the 2011 elections, do you see the Vote of Jonathan in the SW states? Even with Buhari and Ribadu on the ballot

Junaid is entitled to his own opinion, however askew it may be. Which bloc of voters does he even have any influence over? What is his political value to be making such grand sweeping statements on behalf of the whole region, against another region?

No, the problem of the north is religion. Hausas would have been a very progressive and lovely people if the fulanis (Danfodio) hadn't brought in toxic islam through the caliphate.

Hausas were already muslims before Danfodio came but they were mostly folk/liberal muslims like Yorubas are today.

Hausa culture of the old and what hausas call culture today is very very very different. Fulanis have destroyed the Hausa ethnic group.

European Christian Crusades were formed to counter the rapid spread of islam into Europe. Christianity as a religion hardly gives room for extremism which involves killings and wars unless if being pushed.
I believe by now you have known the kind of person you are discussing with and why we call them problem of Nigeria. They will never call wrong wrong rather they will site an example for you to justify that wrong.

No bro. Oil is not an infinite rescource. Yes Animals die every day and so on, but this only becomes crude oil after thousands of years. Crude oil takes thousands of years to evolve into large quantity. The one we are using today evolved thousands of years ago.

Lol you are not getting the point. Yes, there would always be crude oil but it would be very small quantity unsuitable for drilling. It takes thousands of years for the continous formation of crude oil for it to amass to large quantities sufficient for exploration. I hope u get the point.

Kano is as good as a capital anywhere in Africa. Kaduna will be good a capital too. Don’t forget, Kaduna was the capital of Northern Nigeria. So going back to Kaduna will be the natural thing for us to do. So what is all the farce? What have we gained from being a part of Nigeria? Tell me! I don’t know what I gained for instance. Look at the revenue allocation formula and tell me how this revenue allocation formula can ever allow peace and stability in any country, not just in Nigeria, which already they say is an artificial creation. Elder statesman and Second Republic lawmaker, Junaid Mohammed, on Tuesday said the Igbos are free to carry out their threats of secession if denied the Presidency in 2023.

He admonished politicians from the South-Eastern part of the country who are nursing the idea of becoming President in 2023 to perish the thought.

Speaking in a chat with Daily Independent, Junaid said currently the South -East has not put forward a credible person who is qualified to lead Nigeria.

” I challenge Igbos to secede if they are denied Presidency in 2023. If they don’t secede, let them go to hell. They have tried secession before but they were defeated and failed and they lost over one million people”.

“If they want to secede again because of 2023 politics, they are more than welcome. You think anybody will beg them not to secede?” he asked .

Could this idiot's stinking tribe alone ever stand the chance of defeating Ndigbo? The fool has failed to be humble. Without the helps from other ethnicities and much from USSR, UK, Egypt and Arab league of Nations, this moronic Nigerien would have been home across the border chasing hungry cows. By the way, any Igbo person who is so hungry for the presidency of the shithole called Nigeria should be shot.

Junaib and his ilk can jump into Argungu. One thing that everyone should know about Igbos is that they don't bluff. What Igbos say they will do, they will surely do.
Igbos did not shy away from a war when the whole nation was against them, let alone now that the Fulanis may not get the same universal support they got from other Nigerians back in the days.
Southsouth is not going Fulani way this time. Middlebelt may not go Fulani way. The only regions that may still do that will be the Southwest and the northeast, but Igbos are way more than a match for those three regions put together.

The line has already been drawn. No Igbo presidency in 2023, no Igbo and possibly Southsouth in Nigeria.

At the moment, it is mainly the poor and the working class in Igboland that are fanatically in support of Biafra. By 2023 presidential primaries, the middle class, the political class and the upper class of Igboland may join in the agitation, and the critical mass buildup will be so explosive that Junaib and his fellow travellers will be scampering for cover.

No gragra will help Junaib and his ilk this time
Please count Ndigbo out of the useless presidency of the shithole called Nigeria.
