Reason 1: The disciples left their all to follow Jesus to Heaven (Mathew 19.27)but the leaders of today (with their followers) are storing wealth like the sinners do. Reason 2: The early church had the practice of selling their possessions and sharing the proceeds to those in need (Acts 2.45, Acts 4.32). The leaders of today are asking the poor to sow sacrificial offering and tithe more. Reason 3: Jesus rejected the "righteous and religious" rich young man who wanted to follow him because he could not give away his riches (Mathew 19.21-24). These rich leaders (with their followers) think that they are following Jesus when they are yet to do so. Reason 4: The words of Christ are clearly written about earthly wealth. "Do not store earthly treasure instead store heavenly treasure" (Mathew 6.19-21). These words mean nothing to these rich leaders. To satisfy their greed, they give it a strange interpretation. Reason 6: The words of Christ are clearly written, " You cannot be my disciple if you do not give up your all" (Luke 14.33) Masks of false teachers: They look like followers of Christ. They look humble, harmless and righteous but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. They rise from the church Fruit of false teachers: Greed, sexual immorality and selfish ambition Their impact in the last days: They will deceive many except for the few elect. Please do not be deceived. Embrace the truth and be saved. Repentance is mandatory but not enough to get you to the kingdom of Heaven. Find out why. Find out how.
