vision flashes like hallucinations. it could be clear audio, clear virtual, sensory touch, smell, omen, signs and symbols.
example is you heard is is coming or he is suffering, or a virtual where you saw someone coming or he is suffering. it would be the true state of things. either the person is coming or he is coming.

another examples is that you are awake. and heading to a particular direction and you heard it telling you to go back or to other direction. of course you know what it means and what to do at the time. its a gift and if not curtain well or one lack understanding it could lead to mental problem or death.

why that of dreams is the lowest communication and most time it's not so clear and the dreamer might be clueless if it was an ordinary dream or a revelation. dream can be manipulated but direct vision is different. and if its a gift from God it has no repercussions

vision is a rare gift. while dreams are common to everyone.

Not in any way. When the mind is noisy during the day...God waits till it is quiet at night during sleep to pass his message.

The Bible says the young shall see vision while the old dream dreams.
None is superior to the other it lies with one's ability to translate any into reality.
