Chatham House, a not-for-profit and non-governmental organisation based in London which analyses and promotes the understanding of major international issues and current affairs, has estimated that $582 billion has been stolen from Nigeria since independence in 1960. The finding was quoted in an article published by The Economist titled: ‘Catch me if you can, African kleptocrats are finding it tougher to stash cash in the West,’ The Cable reports. We know where to find them:Garki,Maitama,Wuse,Asokoro,Ikoyi,Banana Island,VGC,Victoria Island. We see them flying around the country in their private jets and ferrying bullion vans to their private residence. And driving state of the art luxury cars such as Bentley's,Rolls Royce, Lamborghini,Ferari's to name a few. Why is the average Nigerian being punished through increase in VAT,bank charges,data charges and the return of Toll Gates.? Why is Nigeria the only country where corruption is legal and none of the leaders that plundered the country and turned it the corruption and poverty capital of the world sitting in jail?

Difrent:Abacha is dead and they only recovered the about $5 billion. What about the rest of the $577 billion dollars. What about IBB loot,OBJ loot,Buhari loot,Tinubu loot,Akpabio loot,Kingsley Kuku loot,David Mark loot etc. There are a thousand more name that have looted the country blind at Federal,State and Local government level.
