This totally worked!

I replaced the 02 sensor and cleaned plugs I. Bank 1, 3 and 5.

Car is fine now!!

Thanks once again

My friend uses a 2011 Nissan juke. His complaint is the car goes off when he slows down (with the ac on).
The car also does hardstarting, especially when the engine is cold.
I scanned the car and got the following codes:

P0078 exhaust valve control solenoid circuit bank 1
P0075 intake valve control solenoid circuit bank 1
P0045 turbocharger supercharger boost control solenoid A circuit/open

Pending codes
P0098 intake air temperature sensor 2 circuit high
P0031 h20s heater control circuit low bank 1 sensor 1

These issues started after the car overheated and the top gasket was changed

Please assist

My 2009/corolla just had its back end of the engine block ruptured by a rod from the piston.
It happened when I was driving within the city.
All oil was drained out.
My mechanic said it might require only half of the engine (model no is ZRE1....)

What do you think and what cost outlay should I be preparing for?

That half engine na scam. At the end, u will realise the car no b like as e be b4.
A friend of mine suffered it with his Elantra. Engine cost 600k. He was advised to do half which is 350k with installation. Now the car no dey misbehave anyhow

With the tight parking in most Lagos homes? Jump starter cables is hardly a solution at home.

Hi just out of curiosity, what led to this? Was it long oil change intervals eg more than 3 month or 5 ? use of wrong oil viscosity? Perhaps you bought car naija used? Lastly, Were there any signs, noise etc before this happened?

There is a guy on nairaland you can try for an engine rebuild, id is Trygo... Another person you can try is radautoworks. 300k+ no be small money. Best wishes.

did you read at all? The block is busted , connecting rod busted crankshaft will be busted , I'm 99per sure there will be sludge build up. What are u rebuilding on a 300k engine?

Good morning Gazzuzz. Sorry to text you so early. I would like to come by your office this morning if you have some time. I have a RX300 lexus 2001 which stalls on low idle when am moving slowly in traffic or at a stop light. I travelled for a while and asked my mecho to have it scanned and fixed. (They) found that there were bad ignition could and I had them replaced in addition to other problems detected. But on my return I drove around the city yesterday and it reoccurred multiple times, mostly or always when the AC is on. But when turn off the car and back on, it gets stable again.

Your reputation precedes you and I'd like to get this sorted asap. I believe it might be the IAC valve or something with the AC, or plugs. I don't have anycheck engine lights though.

Bought naija used.
Seemed to have been well maintained during inspection.
Maybe the the owner knew something we didnt know. But the can wasn't advertised for sale, we triggered it.
No sign or sound prior to the burst.
Car had been doing fine all along.

I dont even want an engine rebuild
Was only considering a bottom block change but the assurances are very limited.
