no matter how much the rot in our police force is exposed, no reasonable action will ever be taken to correct it. Last last those involved in this particular saga will be sacked. In another location, another set is arresting, collecting bribe and killing illegally.

Just wondering though, if you actually planned this whole thing or did you actually buy the car and didn't pay up as alleged?

undecided

Sadly FG doesnt provide anything to DPOs so they get creative in funding themselves

twice did my estate and neighboring estates purchase engines to police hilux vans and once did we buy a tokunbo golf 3 car, billing each landlord as high as 5000,. still this effort went to waste when FG didnt function

I was in the car with my cousin when we got to this police road block. They asked for our papers and asked us to open the boot. immediately my coz opened the boot and they saw his laptop, they corked their guns, and became agitated. I was like WTF !? when did a laptop become a contraband
what did they later do? did they ask him to open it?

My advice to youth in Nigeria.. Leave while you still can.. The country will never get better.
I tell you, if there is no way to escape the country, make sure you enjoy yourself while it lasts. Find a way to make money in foreign currency, this country go hard more and more and might finally burst into flames.

In all of your investigation, you didnt mention anything of any female inmate in police custody. May i ask why? Would like to hear what goes on with the females in there.

To solve this menace the government needs to be tactical and deploy the stick approach.

You cannot treat this menace by arresting policemen on the road because the more you arrest, a whole lot of others are perpetrating the arrest of innocent citizens in other places.

The biggest culprit in all these are the DPOs, they are most times partner in crime to the other officers and they always set target (money) for the officers to make daily.

To control this, the government should start querying and sacking DPOs whose unit is engaged in this nefarious practices. If there is complain against some police formation, the DPO should be queried alongside the other officers and eventually sacked together if found culpable.

If the DPOs are gone after by the government, then they can control the units under them even without government interference because they wouldn’t want to lose their jobs. By this way we can have an effective monitoring system that can cure this police menace to some extent.

You can’t change the police mindset by arresting erring officers alone, because if you arrest 50 police today, 2000 others are arresting innocent citizens in other locations.

Police is never your friend, they are Federal agbero that is using Arms to harass innocent citizens.

pray you don't have an issue that is related to the police or station, then you will realised that the OlopA's are not your friend.

Before the police hide to extort N50 from the motorist but now they will show it in clear view that the money will be collected from you and there's nothing you can do, they even have change when you give them N1000.

The BBC should extend there investigation to the Nigeria police system, those guys are thieves and crook.

Police=agbero..
