So a B.Eng graduate teacher in a school is fake or not allowed
Yes, he is fake and can only be allowed on the ground of going back to university and get an education degree or going for PGDE.

Music teacher needed. Interview is on Monday, applicants must live in Lekki phase one and its environs.

In the past when I post a vacancy I get loads of unrelated CVs from people who live as far away as Anambra. It is not right. If you do not meet the requirements, you should not apply.

Applicants must be graduates of music or related course. Must live in Lagos Island or close by. Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching music. Send CVs to morganjennyy@gmail.com. Salary is above 150k

A HND holder has no business in the classroom just as those without a degree in education or NCE. Respect this profession called teaching. It is not for every Tom, Dick and Harry.

My post was not meant to look down on HND holders but to promote professionalism. A HND holder and the rest of you dabbling into teaching should go to your field.
We are tired of dabblers in this noble profession. Did I hear you say "Teachers are born not made?" It is rather the other way round.

The backlash is yet to abate because I posted about non educationists dabbling into teaching. I have no regret posting it. You taunted those that majored in education and now you have graduated to dabble into teaching. You are an epitome of the proverbial "Going back to ones vomit". Shame to you.
Bros, I think you're being overly emotional rather than logical. Let's be honest for once in our lives, studying education or being certified by TRCN doesn't make one a good teacher. If you doubt me, check around government schools and low-budget schools around you, you'll find tonnes of so-called educationist who don't know jack about teaching. Like someone rightly pointed out, you'll need to go back to all those institutions where you were rejected to find out why those who didn't study education were picked ahead of you.

'I'm a certified educationist' alone wouldn't guarantee you any job o. If you're good, you're good. And if you're not, no amount of degree in education will make you better.

PS- I'm a teacher with a few years of teaching experience even though I didn't study education. But to the glory of God, I have worked and I still work in crème de la crème schools. Don't ask me how please, the answer is right before your very eyes. cheesy cheesy

You should not waste your time dignifying the guy with a response. His post has proven that he is 'shallow' beyond imagination!

Degree in education ko! They will just be opening their mouth to suggest impractical ideas about teaching. Bring them to the field of play, they will fail. I have tonnes of them in my place of work here, shishi dem no know. Only to be wearing big big suit and faking accent.

I thought I have heard it all until one opened her mouth to say we should stop referring to ourselves as 'Teachers' but as 'Managers' because as far as she's concerned that word teacher has been cursed. That's why most teachers ain't rich. angry angry

Wetin person no go hear for this Lagos? cheesy cheesy

As for those who are still worried about my post, your calling me names will not change the December 31 deadline. It is sacrosanct. You don't know me so you know next to nothing about me. And for your information I did not fail any interview that caused me to post what I posted here. Everybody that has attended interview knows that it is not for the best candidates. I stand to be corrected.

As for those who are troubled by my constantly mentioning TRCN, you don't have choice. It is either you go back to any institute of education and get your B.Ed or enrol for PGDE.
I am not bothered about the backlash because I know about eighty percent of the job seekers here are people that don't have the aforementioned qualification. You kept telling lies that graduates that have B.Ed don't do well like their B.Sc counterparts. Your dissimulation of using that lies to deceive the public has been uncovered. It does not hold water again. Go to your field. We don't want quacks again.

Please tone down this rant, from experience those without education degree or NCE are often smarter than the so called NCE and B.Ed holders, I've been interviewing people for about 7 years now. I prefer to employ smart people and prefer to advise and guide them to go for training on how to teach.
Do you know that about 90% of those who read education didn't choose to study education but rather pushed to do so as last resort.
I planned from onset to be a lecturer but never studied education as first degree, now teaching, training teachers and consulting for schools. The problem is not those dabbling Into teaching, but lack of foresight on the part of our education ministry, policy summersault here and there, no curriculum identity, that is why you see school advertising all sort of curriculum, private schools everywhere and majority are mere business centres. Let's channel our complaints to the right quarters please!!!
