Now banks are going to be charging for transaction done using ussd code...the whole thing is tirey....

Another thing that i wanna ask now is that the percentage increase, are we using 30k to calculate the percentage increase or we using the mothly salary to calculate the increase

No worry, by the time they fully calculate it, N1,500 will be added to your salary. We go all dey alright
Re: Minimum Wage: Is The New Agreed Percentages For Basic PayOr Net Salary? by kevoh(m): 3:59pm On Oct 19, 2019
It is written in plain and clear terms that the addition will be an increment to your consolidated salary. i.e CONPSS, CONMESS, CONRAISS e.t.c What is consolidated salary (in Nigeria)? It is your basic salary + other allowances (meal, transport, hazard e.t.c) compressed into one. I hope this clears the air

It is based on the gross pay. If you look at the percentage increase between 18k to 30k, it is 66.6 percent. So level 1 to 6 will be calculated based on the 66%. Other levels will be based on the percentage agreed upon.

i think its 40% not 66.6%
Re: Minimum Wage: Is The New Agreed Percentages For Basic PayOr Net Salary? by kizwid(m): 4:04pm On Oct 19, 2019
for level 7, if your basic salary is #70k, 23.2% of 70k will be added to your basic salary.. this.. 70,000 + (70,000 x 0.232)= #86,240

Most times, salary increase is always calculated on basic salary which will reflect on some other allowances housing,13th month, pension employer and employee remission etc.I am speaking from my personal experience

That is not how they calculate for us.

you are actually wrong.

The percentage increase will be calcuted base on the present salaries of the said grade level.

For instance level 7 gross pay is presently around 65 - 70k now 23.3% increase is 14950 and 16100 respectively.

Level 8 present get 100k and above, the percentage increase will be calculated on 100k.

please this is very wrong. It is % increase in your salary and not the minimum wage. Eg if you are on level 8 and your salary is 56,000, your new salary will be:
20/100*56,000
ie 0.2*56,000=11,200
56,000+11,200=67,200
New salary is 67,200.
Please if you ain't a mathematician, economist or accountant, do not post misleading calculations.

Please does this increment applies to those working in Banks, Dangote company, Lafarge Holcim, as well as other prominent private organisations? If not, then the NLC is just for government workers and it is bad for fairness and justice.

Very important question because all we face new vat and tax as dey increase them

The above calculation is very wrong and should be ignored.

At OP, there is nothing like calculating the new wage based on basic salary. Federal salary, at least, for those of us on CONPSS is consolidated. Whatever percentage increase will be calculated based on your current gross consolidated salary.

Excluding allowance o, it will surely affect the gross income, it means the tax will increase and other compulsory deductions.

They just have, SALARY.

It's 23.2% of your salary not 23% of the minimum wage.
By your calculations level 6 officers will earn more than level 7 officers

The thing tire me. I don't know what is difficult here to understand that these people keep on mentioning basic salary. It is BOLDLY written in the circular that the addition is to the consolidated salary.
