bluefilm:Are you ok? The banks have been charging 52.50 naira before now for online transactions. Now the telcos want to add an additional 4 naira per 20 seconds, for the same service. And you expect us to keep quiet over this extortion? |
Re: USSD Charges: MTN, Nigerians React To The Introduction by charlesELIKIBA: 2:19am On Oct 21, 2019 |
This USSD charge is an agreement between banks and network provider MTN that is why the Fed Govt. Knows nothing about it. Only in Nigeria, a Non-Nigerian company will wake up and tax a country citizens without approval from the country government, in otherwords absolute see finish. They want to use our money to recover thier losses in the SA xenophobic attacks were SA businesses were destroyed. At the end of it all, this will stand. |

You know what, they expect these reactions. Then in two weeks time, they expect your reactions will get cold and calm without seeking for change. Then they smile to bank as always. 1 Like 1 Share |

CeterisXVII: Are you okay yourself? Now ask yourself this: True true, what will the additional 4 nairq per 20 seconds add or remove from your life? Or maybe, people just love to react... Instead of people focusing on how to make more money so that they can afford the good things of life they want, they are busy conserving the little they have. And that my friend, is the reason why so many people are so damn poor in this clime because they lack the entrepreneurial drive that pushes people into trying to create more and more residual income sources. Nonsense. |

bluefilm:It is the exploitation that I object to. The Nigerian govt uses too many ways to extort money from the public. Those of us who work hard at legit jobs, believe in getting value for money, unlike money-miss-roads who are ready to throw money around, at the slightest whim. But you do not know what it takes to earn a legit income, that is why you are talking like this. You are free to continue dashing your ill-gotten wealth to any new scam the govt decides to perpetrate on you. The cumulative effect of the multiple deductions, amounts to a huge sum at the end of the day. Carry out 20 transactions per day and see how much it would cost. The worst part of it, is that the 4 naira covers just 20 seconds. So if your transactions take longer than 20 seconds to complete, then you pay double. If your transactions time out before 20 seconds are up, deductions are still made, irrespective of the outcome. If this happens every day for a month, guess how much gets lost? But you wouldn't understand that, because you do not earn a legit income, and that is why you think you can advise others to fritter it away on such silly deductions. |
