How old is Buhari, lai Muhammed, mamman daura, ABBA kyari? These guys are in their 80s but the reduced their age. Military were permitted to slash their age in those days and Buhari and obj confirmed it. Have you seen anywhere in the world where a younger sister is older than the senior brother? Go to daura and ask how old is Buhari's younger sister. I see you as one of the lazy youths who finds it hard to decipher the truth. None of those US citizens you mentioned is up to 80 years of age.

Because if you actually read the report (even the OP’s post), it’s clear that she was being LITERAL!

After referring to Nigeria as a gerontocracy, she then added as a different strand of thought that “there is ALSO a gentleman’s agreement...” (emphasis added), which indicates that the so-called gentleman’s agreement is in ADDITION to and INDEPENDENT of Nigeria’s supposed gerontocracy. This is basic English, and frankly unsure why many seem to be struggling with it (or perhaps just befuddled by the accent).

Meanwhile, let’s not conflate disparate issues here. If the primary issue is that political office is expensive to attain in Nigeria (which of course it is), exactly how different is that from her own country? Please let’s quit chasing ephemeral shadows in derogation of substance. We have much work to do and need COMPETENT leadership, regardless of age (or ethnicity). Young yahoo yahoo boys will be no better than this lot.

Our issue with Buhari should SOLELY be his incompetence, not some nonsensical distraction about age.
