Can we start electronic voting? At least it will cut down some costs.
Less workforce will be needed. Some of these computer gurus can then Chanel their talents for the right course in the country, rather than indulging in internet fraud.

The irony of these whole thing is that after spending such huge funds on elections, it will simply amount to a national disaster.

A whole lot of them will be inconclusive.

The ones that were concluded, a whole lot of them will be upturned by the tribunal, you now start questioning the rational behind these huge funds allocation.

Look at the mess created by INEC in 2019 in the name of elections after collecting huge sums of money.

What's the point.

By the way, why is PMB yet to sign the amended electoral act on his table to permit for electronic voting, what is he waiting for?

He has won his election, please let him sign it so that this nation can move forward.
He wanted to rig for his party before leaving. You don't know him yet.

Tony Kabaka has an extra N1 billion to add to that! Go after him. You do not have enough money to conduct a national election but a thug in Edo state celebrated having the same amount in his bank account or wherever the money is kept.

not even 1bn but free and fair elections....even if you give them 100billion, INEC cannot conduct free elections in Nigeria! I wept for this country

I agree, 1 billion Naira is not nearly enough to conduct election in Nigeria.
In order for elections to be free and fair, we need to lean towards electronic voting and cut down the number of voting Centres to one per state.

I know my idea sounds outrageous but here’s how it would work:

1- Reducing the number of voting centers will make it easier to monitor the elections and will engender free and fair process.

2- the potential billions saved can be rechanneled to compensating voters that come from outside more than 50 miles away. Using their voters card, we can tell where their zone was originally situated and compensate them according for coming to perform their civic duty.

3- when we get out electronic voting process right and totally eliminate electoral violence and intimidation, we can then go back to how it was.

We should also pass “election campaign” finance laws that limits the sources of donation to only citizens of Nigeria. Also, the law should stipulate that 6 months to election, each candidate and their campaign team must furnish the EFCC with every single bank statement for up to 2 years prior to the election and inform the Efcc on how much they have at their disposal for the election.

Nigeria federal structure is a scam.

Nigeria must devolve federal powers to the regions or states.

Region can conduct elections based on their financial strength.

We say no to unitary system.

Besides there is high cost of governance with the political class wasting the resources of the country.
