Immediately i saw that line and zigzag, I knew it was a Gabon viper.

Look at the Triangular or V-shaped head, very venomous.

I had watched a moment where that kind of snake pretended to be dead, a bird came close to feed on it, it striked the bird immediately. The Gabon viper waited for like 1 minute for its venom to do the wonder by weakening the bird. The bird was shivering, and started to fall. After a minute and some seconds, the bird died. The Gabon viper grabbed it with its mouth to a safe place to consume.

Op, where da hell is your location in lagos, I couldn't believe this specie is found in Nigeria or it could be you live in the sub-hara.

hmmmm, thank you,but is it true that manumanu is deadly at night and docile during the day
It hides in the sand during the day but dangerous at any time as far as I remember.

Growing up with my grandparents, it was one snake they always want me about.

You ppl should stop all these indiscriminate and unprovoked killing of snakes! Pythons especially. They play very important roles in the ecosystem!
This isn't a Python.

This is the viper with the longest fangs filled with deadly venom and it can strike so fast with multiple bites.

I support the elimination of these kinds of snakes anytime they trespass into human settlement.

This snakes only role in trespassing into a human settlement is to claim lives of people and domestic animals.

You might want to look up the meaning of noxious. Obnoxious is valid, but it doesn't apply in this context.

it's not compulsory they see it, plus their own see can be a see of death plus we got Lotta zoo's around . so yeah kill all snakes wherever found sad

Why did you kill it? You should have captured and release it into the wild! Nigerians always kill any wild animal they see, for no genuine reason!

That's why it is extremely hard to see wild animals in this useless "country" filled with id*iots!
