Yes. Jonathan was the most insulted, but he had class.

Even when he acted with good intentions like removal of subsidy.

He tolerated every bullshit without going after anyone.

Not like some classless vagabonds at Aso Rock now.

I will forever blame Jonathan for what we have now. He lost the 2015 election when he couldn't grow the balls to sack a compromised Jega.

But I'm happy he keeps walking with shoulders high.

Looming large all over the globe.

He gave up small victory for the bigger victory.

Until further notice, GEJ remains my president.

Re: Opinion: Was Jonathan The Most Attacked Nigerian President When He Was In Power? by Nobody: 4:37pm On Oct 27, 2019
Jonathan definitely was.

The fact that his emergence came at the time when most Nigerians were taking to social media made it so.

Everyone just wanted to take a bite out of him.

The fact that he didn't jail critics and dissidents under true or trumped up charges as Buhari is doing right now made it worse.

Everyone got away with everything they said under the cover of free speech.

Jonathan preferred a strategy of keeping mute about controversies and later denying them when people demanded for answers.

Buhari prefers the strategy of coming up with unintelligent lies and harassing anyone that insists on answers.

Buhari infamous strategy is the deployment of government powers, the so-called federal might, against dissidents.

That doesn't mean Buhari and Jonathan are any different though.

They both belong to the same group of clueless folks who got power drunk after they somehow ended up in power.

Jonathan ended up in power by luck. What was good luck to him was bad luck to everyone else.

He became governor after his predecessor was impeached and president after the president died.

I don't know how true this is, but people used to say he was the deputy head boy in his secondary school but became head boy after the head boy was expelled.

Buhari got into power by tribalism and hate speech.

He is the only president who spent 12 years running for office only to become useless once he got there.

I mean, twelve years is more than enough to draft a masterplan to turn the country around. He didn't!

Instead, he was more interested in getting in then trying to determine what to do after he got in.

God knows how Nigeria always ends up with these people.

Yes he was , in hindsight I can confidently say it was rather unjustly ..

But still he remains a dummy ... He allowed Nigerians to buy into the fraud that buhari sold hence the present dire economy.

If only.GEJ had shown some spunk and guts.. our standard for a leader would have been much higher than to allow the likes of buhari into aso rock

He has been declared dead

He has a clone Jubril El Sudani

They wished his Son dead

They even married a 2nd wife for him

They question his education even by those who can't construct a simple correct sentence.

They try to embarrass him severally outside the country.

National Assembly members hulled insults at him personally.

Definitely he was. Jonathan performed below par, but the barrage of criticism directed at him had religious, ethnic and political undertone. The Boko haram issue itself, the biggest blight on his tenure, was weaponized to discredit him further.

The guys in the opposition then really set a cold, low mark; the same they do not have a stomach for presently.

Yes YEs YES!!

Tinubu deceived Yorubas into hating Goodluck Jonathan for no reason, just because Jonathan refused to make Wale Tinubu the Minister of Petroleum to enable Tinubu allocate Niger Delta Oil blocs to himself and cronies, that is the only reason Tinubu hated Jonathan, no other reason, so he used Sowore and his Saharareporters to mobilize all Yorubas against Jonathan, making them hate Jonathan for no justifiable reason.

They said Jonathan looted Nigeria dry, and I laugh because I know Jonathan beyond politics, he is a simple man, a contented man who is not after becoming a billionaire or world richest man like Tinubu and co....Jonathan is a listening man, if you had the opportunity to meet Jonathan when he was president and presented your case to him, he would listen to you like an ordinary man.....though some people took advantage of his gentlemanness and his being a kind-hearted man, but Jonathan never looted Nigeria's money yet Yorubas mobilized the rest of gullible Nigerians to hate Jonathan but they hail and celebrate a known looter like Tinubu who has single handedly pocketed Lagos and destroyed Lagos.

If not for Tinubu, Lagos will be measuring with top cities like Johannesburg, Madrid, even London but look at Lagos today, no roads, all connecting roads are dead traps....everywhere is smelling and looking like a total slum yet to Yorubas, Tinubu is the best politician in the world but Jonathan deserved to be killed, its okay angry angry

If you want to know how bias, how unreasonable, how hypocritical a Yoruba Muslim is, just ask him why he feel Jonathan was a bad President

Then ask the same Yoruba Muslim why he believes Tinubu is the best Yoruba politician and best person to be elected as Nigeria's President, then sit back and hear him talk

I punctured your claim on number 10, it wasn't El-Rufai that called Jonathan government a kindergarten government it was Bisi Akande.

Beside how do you think that Aps Suleman that open campaigned for Jonathan and predicted his re-election could have said Jonathan stole so much money?

But that is your opinion though, no president has been attacked and have false stories run about him like Buhari, to the point of claiming he was dead, a pastor at ota even dedicated some Sundays to falsify story against Buhari.
