Its just a matter of alliance..... In as much as Igbo presidency is not going to guarantee any serious development, Igbos can give it a serious shot.

First to clear all grey areas with their closest brothers in South South and then proceed to the North and finally to the West. You can't get all round support especially from the West but they can make a good case for it.

My favorite situation continues to be regional government...total federal government.... We are going no where in a country where next elections are being discussed even before the current elections are concluded.
They should start doing that NOW!

So they don't want Biafra again, abi ?
You hate Nigeria and Nigerians, yet you want to produce a President for Nigeria ?

They should forget the hateful naysayers and forge ahead with the Eastern presidency project. Well-meaning Nigerians are eager and willing to vote an Easterner and agitations once and for all. 11 million out of 24million Nigerian registered voters voted for an Obi as VP, that number is close to 50% of total voters population. The hateful mongrels and their anti-Igbo rhetorics cannot be wiser than these millions of people.

The true enemies of this country are those hateful mongrels who stand against an Eastern presidency for no justifiable cause apart from their sick hate which is killing them in the inside.

March on!

Even a military head of state cannot unilaterally divide the country he will be assassinated. A civilian president has no such power! He will be impeached and nobody will implement it. We need to know basic government
Chisaedhor:
They deserve it this time

And any Igbo President should be sensible enough to just divide this country once and for all.

If I am to be a president, I will just divide the country once I emerge.

Honestly one Nigeria is not working, let's tell our selves the truth.

I gave up on Igbo presidency the day DR. CHRIS NGIGE lost senatorial election, it was very clear then that he's the next senate president (3rd man in the country) if he wins but his kinsmen voted him out of the position because of stupidity. So if any igbo still contest for presidency, he'll be voted out by his people base on their. mischievous excuse.

Calling for restructure is what suppose to be priority. All the region will benefit from it. Given any region President has no benefit to that region. Ask Yoruba during Obasanjo and south south during GEJ and Northern that has been in power more than any region.
Re: 2023: Igbo Leaders In Strong Push For Presidency by DMerciful(m): 6:00pm On Oct 27, 2019
So what are you saying? Igbos shouldn't be treated the way Yorubas were treated cos they don't have any annulled election? What about the civil war where 3 million Igbos were killed using unconventional means against Geneva convention? Yeye dey smell
LegendHer0:
They want to use the Yoruba model and you would but wonder what they meant by that word!

In 1993, MKO won the election adjudged to be the freest and fairest election in history and the election was annulled.

SW clamored for justice in 1999 using the earlier injustice meted against them by the Northerners (Babangida) and the North supported OBJ in PDP out of remorse for the wrong of one of their own (Babangida).

The Igbos have a penchant for taking the glory of other people and one would but wonder what they meant by the statement that they supported OBJ in 1999. The PDP primaries of Jos convention 1998 was keenly contested by OBJ, Ekwueme, etc. and those that gave OBJ the needed edge are the middle belt and core North voters. NOT the Igbos.

They would later vote OBJ in the presidental election for two reasons:
PDP has a wider national spread than AD which is seen as a Yoruba party.

They will NEVER support the Yorubas interest, hence its better to vote OBJ then to spite the Yorubas.

Even the Bible said you can’t reap what you did not sow, why should the APC (a terrorist Islamic party) pick an Igbo presidential candidate? The Igbos can contest with the Yorubas in the APC primaries in 2023 like OBJ contested against Igbo in 1999 under PDP.

But No one should say they should be given that position on a platter of gold.

The Igbo case of 2023 and the Yoruba case of 1999 are different to some extent, the core North and middle belt made Obasanjo president in 1999 and NOT the Igbos.

The presidency was zoned to the South in 1999 which explained why Ekwueme contested against Obasanjo in PDP primaries in 1999.

In 2023, if the presidency is zoned to the south, the Igbos in APC will contest against the Yorubas in APC to pick the presidential aspirant for APC. Yoruba will likely win that.

In 2023 also, if the presidency is zoned to the south, the Igbos in PDP will contest against the Yorubas in PDP to pick the presidential aspirant for PDP. Igbos will likely win that.

The bolded template up here was used in 1999 which showed that the Yoruba clearly worked to become the president and not given anything on a platter of gold. The only difference is that the NORTH supported the Yorubas in 1999 because of MKO remorse and might support them in 2023 if it’s a contest between Igbos and Yorubas.

Note: I did not reply to your claim of civil war genocide coz it does not relate to the issue of presidential elections? Don’t derail the thread!

Pay attention!

So what Nigeria needs today is devolution of power from the centre so that the regions can compete & develop @ their own pace. This will also reduce the selfishness of the politicians.

Lol @ the 1999 model. These people hate anything APC with passion. They simply want APC out of power because they will never give APC 30% of their total votes even if APC present one of their own as its presidential candidate. No be today.
Meanwhile, PDP presidential ticket for 2023 is going to North undoubtedly. Serious delimma for Igbos

To me, running a country is same as running a business.

Nigeria is losing because the wrong people are running it's affairs.

If Igbos should lead in 2023, they should push for A Sullivan Chime or A Peter Obi.

Don't ever support a self-centered politician.

Oh yes. Nigeria needs to heal the wounds of the civil war through fielding two Igbo candidates in the two major political parties to vie for Presidential election 2023.

Yorubas got sympathy in 1999 and the Igbos deserve sympathy too because the reason they've been sideline is because of the 1966 coup which eventually led to the civil war. You know there's a correlation but this has been consistent with your denial of marginalization against the Igbos

Five pages of noise and brag....not a single name was mentioned.

A meeting was held at an undisclosed state in East in the house of an undisclosed ex governor and according to an undisclosed source, an undisclosed wealthy man with empire across west africa who is friend to an undisclosed yorubaman is said to be bankrolling this project and we are told he already has endorsement from prominent undisclosed Yoruba and Hausamen.

What kind of undisclosed bullshyyyte is this grin grin

If you want to make noise, call Iboman.

If you want to accomplish task, call Yorubaman.
