grin grin grin I swear! for things you can control tho. For issues you have no control over like VO's decision, frustration and insanity will just set in if you don't drink patiencemycin once in a while. It's hard but necessary grin

The last petition was around Nov/Dec 2018 I think. And there was heavy rain Jan to March, maybe it worked or maybe AVO was just in the post-xmas holiday giving mood

yemblaze:
Same time last year..Accra was like this and no amount of Twitter or petition will change anything. I wonder why they are delaying but as soon as they are ready...it will rain PPR and we will rejoice with everyone.

Na our naija style you just describe so o grin Oyibo people don't act like that. Especially Canadians, they're very fair. Your application is legal and they're legally binded to give you PPR within processing time if your application is authentic. They are extremely patient and will keep apologizing or sending the 'queue for review' email until they finish working on your file. They themselves know they have failed in their promise once your application exceeds 6 months. Don't fear. Sign that petition joor.

@bold shocked shocked angry God forbid. We will meet in Canny this December or early next year

johnnybravo1990:

Even if my application will take 2 years, so be it. Whenever it will come, it will come. Use discretion is all I’m saying. Don’t make them get pissed and use an iron hand on us. They can get super-pissed and deal with the applicants. They can punitively decide to spot even minute faults and deny many people their applications. We all know no application is perfect, and applications sent to AVO had one fault or the other; that was the reason most of the applications were sent there. When people(AVO personnel) are under pressure, the more you bug them, the more they get crazy and may overreact.

How much is it, and when will it commence?

Hope registration has not closed.

Application fee is #12,500 while course fee plus course materials plus field trip is #90,000. Registration has not yet closed but it probably will soon cos it's supposed to start by next month.

You have no right whatsoever to Express your concern to the Canadian government, they didn't force you to apply for their program in as much as they need economic immigrants, 80% of applications get ppr on or before 6 months? The other 20% get 8-14months later, so you are among the latter, did you credit their account with your pof?

you gotta roll with the punches of their process, slow or fast, they have the right to pick the best economic immigrants for their country, so before applying for their so called Express Entry knowing they may put your file in Accra, you should get you get you ducks in a row, have a plan A, B,C...don't put all your eggs in one basket because they might reject your application, so whatchu gon do? Sue them for not letting you into their country? cool shebi your pof is still in your account? So why the fuss? They will give you your ppr or not... Y'ALL STOP COMPLAINING AND GET BUSY ALREADY, URRGGH... angry
clearly you have not submitted yet. People have mailed the immigration minister and the ppr came out a week later. You had better change this mindset. We have seen people who have gotten refused unjustly and they fought it till it was reopened . The very moment you request for a letter in most companies you are as good as gone, some say you should resign. Some don't consider you for promotion anymore. Canada needs economic migrant more than we need them.

Sorry o, were you sent this response at any point during your application? If yes, how long did it take from receiving first of such to PPR?

I can relate to the self induced poverty part... I am at that stage, I am trying to save all I can for POF
ladymarshall:
Hmm! Sis, from what you have typed, I guess you are still pre-AOR or fresh post-AOR. If you have experienced the long tortorous wait, you won't talk like this @bold. This application is one of the most life-changing application one can ever go through, you can't move forward or backward, you can't buy new car, rent/buy new house, change house appliances to your taste, go on vacation anyhow, change kids schools as you would like, organise dream wedding, to pay children school fees will be paining you etc because you just can't touch that pof anyhow, you keep managing, more like self-induced poverty in case PPR comes anytime soon, God forbid you're robbed or financial emergency befall you in the middle of the wait. Or if you're frustrated with your current job and don't want to go through the stress of changing jobs since you'll repeat the same job search process for Canny but what do I know? The constant mental decision-based dilemma you through daily because you don't know the outcome of VO's decision or when the decision will get to you is one that can't be explained, only experienced firsthand. I hope the wait is easy on you.
And applicants have a right to express their concerns via CSE or any other means, albeit in a respectful tone. I can't start saying all the cases, but I have seen where applicants write heartfelt legitimate plea and get ghost update the next couple of days, then PPR.

My dad was absolutely livid when I told him that I was going to apply for Canadian PR and tried to get my elder brother in the USA (who stayed back after med school) to convince me to stay put, I simply told my brother that if he was really sympathetic towards my dads’ disdain at my decision and wanted to remedy the situation then he should relocate to Nigeria with his family and he kept mute afterwards. My mum on the other hand prayed with me and wished me God’s grace.

The end! Fin!! Shalom!!! Over and out!!!! My watch has ended!!!!! I don port o!!!!!! Japa season is here!!!!!!! It has ended in praise!!!!!!!!

@bold cheesy cheesy grin I've not even thought of that angle o grin grin Even first class citizens are leaving too if not for the money or job, at least for the passport grin Nice work you're doing here. Praying for your PPR soonest

bankyh1905:
Brilliant question! It applies so widely to government policies. Who gets what, matters a lot. This is partly the reason why when someone queries me and asks "So you want to go and be a second-class citizen in a foreign land, ehn?" I've always answered with a question of my own: "who told you that I'm a first-class citizen in Nigeria?". undecided

Meanwhile, I thought you had left us here ni o until @yemblaze explained to me. Please stay, your words of wisdom are still required grin

Hope you’re in the US legally cuz you would need to get police report if you’ve been there for 6 months. But first thing is first...go back to page 1 read everything and If you have further questions come back here and ask.

Babygirl, @bold thank God you said self-induced means that person brought it upon his/herself willingly, so deal he/she should deal with the process that comes with it. I totally understand the frustration that comes with but the approach is somehow joor, hian...

Hello everyone, I am a silent reader and I’ve been reading up previous threads.
I’m on pre ITA. I’ve got some questions to ask.

I completed my BSC in 2014 then I started working almost immediately till date, started my full time MSC in 2015 alongside a full time job. My question is, I read about work experience and some people advised to fill part time as the nature of study.
I know working alongside schooling outside Canada is accepted since it’s not stated on the cic website.

My question is do I fill part time schooling and if it won’t be seen as misinterpretation?
Has anyone filled full time schooling with working full time and has gotten PR?
