Opposition is not madness the say buh FFk has taken it far even at the detriment of his own political career.

Now addressing his lies and foolishness.

he peddled some falsehood recently about how the great yoruba came about our collective name.

First: FFK said Yoruba came about from an insulting/derogatory name the Fulanis call us as a people. Totally false.

I challenge FFk himself and all his believers to find a fulani man and ask him if there is any word like Ya.ri.ba in their language. You will be surprised there is nothing like such in fulfude and not even in hausa language, it is just a corrupted way of pronouncing Yoruba just like the whites corrupted Igbos to Ib.os and Ubinu to bennin and same way the hausa soldiers corrupted yen mmiri to 'yan,m.uri' and many more. Our tongues are different, we all can't pronounce other peoples tongue perfectly,

it's something totally impossible.

secondly, i see ffk regarding himself as 'omo karo o jire', this is funny, that isn't meant to be a name of people collectively, that's just a description. It's more like the way some of us call the ibos 'omo n.na', why? Because they call themselves nna and nne, we use that to address them as a people buh that's not their name collctively and also same way we call every northerners 'ab.oki' it's because they refer to themselves as aboki which means friend, we this pick the word to describe them but that doeasn't change the fact they are hausas, nupes, fulanis and all..

He also said he's omoluabi, that is also an appraisal of us. It's a way we praise ourselves as a people and never our collective name....
What does the word 'Yoruba' mean in its own language? Do you know the root of the word?

If FFK decides to give Igbo some mentions later, hope you won't mind if they're not compliments.

There are old manuscripts that affirmed that Yoruba came from Egypt or Arabia/Mecca.They had everyday words like Araba etc.
Yoruba means invoking God Almighty for all positivities. It was gotten from Ya Rabi....which means Oh God ...in Arabic. It later metamorphosed into Ya Rabawa,Ya Raba until it became Yoruba.

What is the meaning of Igbo?

the right word is 'Yoruba' corrupted to yar.iba.

now show me sources and historical document refrenced to by FFK before you believe him. I'd be waiting.

if only you guys can put the energy you use in researching about yoruba all the time in researching your root, you'd have been able to pinpoint exactly where you guys come from. It's 2019 and you still do not know your root. Shameful.

Bro I don't give a fūck about the meaning of 'Ibo'.

I'm 'Yoruba' for your info, never Ibo. But the word 'Yoruba' has no meaning in the language of the people it's used to characterise.

It's an exonym, given to the people of that common tongue by a Fulani (itself an exonym) man. Get knowledge, it's power. PS: If you come back at me I'll def. school you further.

i guess you prolly read the Ilorin version of how Yoruba came into being which was a story by a fulani cleric who said yorubas came from Egypt and hence the Yoruba name came from Ya raba which is totally wrong in it's entirety cuz Yorubas were not even muslims abinitio as we accept Islam from Malians hence the reason why Islam is known as Esin Male whic is actually 'Esin Mali' (like Malians religion).

Search for the original history man, you are long lost. Do you even know the year our path crossed with the Fulanis at all?

Please read your right history man, you are really lost in the wrong one.

The Arabia story is nonsense. Nobody knows for sure where Yoruba come from but they definitely predate Arabia & its religion.

Considering the meaning of the word Yoruba according to FFK, I believe FFK history on the name due to that tribe’s character fits the description.

Yorubas are black as coal. One of the darkest tribe in Nigeria with oblong or round face shape, flat nose and fat lips. You fit the description of what Europeans stereotype as African features more than other tribes in Nigeria and you report Yoruba came from Egypt and Arabia? This is just inferiority complex and self hatred. The more I visit this forum, the more I read the comments of Yoruba on here shows Yoruba have severe inferiority complex in your community. Sad

seems you just heard people using the word 'Inferiority complex' and you decide to try out your luck with it too cuz if you really do understand what the word means then you'll know it really have a thing or two to do with chestbeating.

You don't have to tell your worth to people in loud manners if you don't suffer that very word you use but we all know those people across the niger that cannot buh be loud in chestbeating. That's the main symptom of 'Inferiority Complex'.
