Our youth team do well in underage competitions but find it hard to replicate in the senior level.
Five years from now, we won't see most of these guys if not all in football world again. What could be the reason?

You did not review anything, was expecting what they should learn going forward after the gidigidi display.

The boys display much energy throughout 90mins with some skillful display but no cordination and no idea in front of goals.

I was expecting RCA on that please.

This guy has what looks like Under Twenty-Seven (U27) veins under his facial skin.

FIFA U-17 World Cup: Ibrahim Said’s Hat-trick Earns Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets Round Of 16 Ticket After Overcoming Ecuador

An Ibrahim Said’s hattrick ensured Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets booked a place in the Round of 16 of the FIFA U-17 World Cup after the team defeated Ecuador 3-2 on Tuesday.

The five-time winner of the tournament began the encounter like a house on fire as they took an early lead through Ibrahim Said’s brilliant finish in the 5th minute.

Despite the team dominance, Ecuador levelled parity a few minutes later through Daniel Jinadu’s own goal in the 10th minute.

The South American team took the lead in the 56th minute via a penalty that was converted by Johan Andreé Mina.

However, the Nigerian team came back strongly as Said grabbed his double in the 86th minute with a cool finish before scoring the winning goal in the 89th minute that sealed the victory for the Golden Eaglets.

Nigeria next face Australia in the final Group B fixture on Friday.

How can this man be 17?

Groom accurate players for crying out loud.

The aim of underage football is not necesarily to win.
I don't understand this desperateness.

Whenever I hear Nigeria defeat Hungary or wallop Ecuador, I am not impressed.

What will impress me is if this players are not playing at their peak already because they are overage.

Depressed at the fact that none or very few of these guys will be around when their mates they are walloping today are entering the peak.

Always be positive on our players. Don't you see all the players in the other teams. Are they real under 17 yrs old players. The fact that they came from outside Africa or not from Nigeria does not mean they can not manipulate ages. Give peace a chance you psychopathy on Nairaland. Let us enjoy the tournament. You are not Fifa agent. That is the reason why some of you are not relevant in life.

Your head is not alright.

You think you are winning.? You are only doing yourself.

In five years time, these same boys you are walloping today will destroy your super eagles at the Senior world cup.

There are so many. genuine u-17 players playing good amateur football all over Nigeria.

Just a trip to any community stadium or field in any town in Nigeria and you would find them.
Those are the future of Nigerian football.

This urge to win at all cost is bad.

Nobody is complaining about the green National Jersey and it's 'bad luck' now oo.

Same green Jersey, same team, two resounding victories .

This is not peculiar to Nigeria. People are always quick to mention Toni Kroos. But how many of his U17 teammates went on to play for Germany at senior level? Truth is, most U17 teams produce between 1-3 players who go on to excel for their country at senior level. The rest just disappear into their local or foreign leagues.

Your assertion is kinda faulty though. And this is because the make up the senior team of these countries will not be exactly the same in five years time for several reasons. One being that, not every player who shines at U17 will develop to the senior team whether real age or over aged.
Examples of this abound in every country.

because in 5 years time, 90% of our current under 17 players will be 35 years in real life

reason so simple bc they're all over aged players. many of them are in their early 30s and before they cud get to their limelight they must hv clocked 40s so they are very very liable to fizzle out at stage
