BAZ001:You encouraged the behaviour so don't complain. I'm sure there are formal ways to handle such issues as a driver. Tomorrow, as you didn't say no and stick to the agreement of movement of passengers. She will do same to another Partner. |

And we've said it severally, let the platform kick off the erring drivers. It is not rider's call. A driver rejects a trip, he may have down wrong in your views, but UBER/bolt still feels he is within permitted range of cancellation. That's why it is called partnership; drivers have leverage and lifeline, which they use by cancelling unfavourable trips, and you can't deny them that thelastorca: |

peeps4u:Except that you people with ‘leverage’ know that your claim is bs which is why you always try to push the cancellation to the rider. If you were so critical in the scheme of things, you would cancel by yourselves and damn the consequences. Instead you constantly do your utmost to get the rider to cancel |

Frankdamaxx: thelastorca:Na wa o Which one be man enough to cancel a ride again? The display of machismo at every given opportunity. Why can’t you just cancel and book another ride instead of feeding your ego? Kai! People! |

You can as well cancel, riders also need to pay for being bad riders or a rider with bad roads from bad activity score owing to accumulated cancellations. If drivers reject your bad destinations, the best you can do for yourself is to be a gentle man and some drivers will reconsider not bullying them with "you're working for the platform" they will just leave you there and ask you to cancel. thelastorca: |

peeps4u:Which is where reporting for violation of ubers policies comes in. Of course then the arrogant boss and partner will suddenly remember you are a wicked person, he has a child, he has a family, you are not considerate, you have no human feelings. Real boss move right there |

LOL, this thread will go along way to orientate a lot of driver and riders. Driver will know their rights. Riders will know drivers are partners and have leverage |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by peeps4u: 9:08am On Oct 31, 2019 |
It is very simple, report if you think you have a case and order new ride. No driver will beg you not to report to UBER because he cancels your trips. Let UBER be the judge. It might be funny to you that UBER will just overlook so many vague reports because that lack substances. thelastorca: |

kodred:Maybe if I speak in odometer. What will make me cancel a ride? An unexpected situation coming up. An observed violation by the driver before we start. What makes a driver cancel? A destination he considers unfavorable. You do not want to go on the journey, cancel and take the cumulative strike. Stop trying to think you are smart Now how do I translate the above into the language of I have driven 100km? |

Chuwaa:Based on all you have said, you had a choice and left the ride hailing business. Nobody forces you to join. All businesses in Nigeria have their peculiar challenges but people still do them. If at the end of the day, Uber partners are making total losses, nobody will tell the partners to quit. And what do you mean by all that comfort? Uber standard is a clean car, AC and good shocks for a good ride. That is comfort enough. If you can't provide that then you have no business being on Uber. No one is expecting massage seats... |

Cancel the same trip the driver finds unfavourable and report, then order new ride. Sincerely, I support you on that like I supported you on that driver the other day. But the fact is that, uber/bolt needs drivers and will not ban drivers arbitrarily because riders keep reporting for cancelled trips. Drivers are only using their leverage to cancel unfavourable trips, don't blame them thelastorca: |

peeps4u:Heh. I have a call recorder. And I have used it in the past in other issues with poor customer service.Once someone with even more aggro and misplaced arrogance than the drivers here. Talking as if I was some sort of scammer. Record call, send to CEO, copy others. Na so the same arrogant bagger called me back apologizing profusely. This one is not a case where you will suddenly start making up stories ![]() |

We've addressed this, guess you're late coming here. Let uber determine that. You can't determine when a driver leaves a platform because he rejects your trips, the platform decides. And the question, does uber or bolt see it the way you do, No, they know drivers have their rights and lifelines with which they can reject trips over a certain range. Frankdamaxx: |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by peeps4u: 9:19am On Oct 31, 2019 |
Really? Why dont you start adopting same measures for drivers? I believe when uber bans over 70% of drivers for cancellation because of you, drivers will humble and even accept lagos-badagry road everyone avoids. thelastorca: |

| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Frankdamaxx(m): 9:29am On Oct 31, 2019 |
peeps4u:The reason for the penalties on driver cancellation is to stop selective tripping. If everyone chooses to drive in VI and good road areas it's fine. But it defeats the purpose of moving people. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by peeps4u: 9:31am On Oct 31, 2019 |
That is it. When a driver rejects, order new one. No need creating a fuss about it I don't see why riders make it a big deal. The driver that cancels trips is just enjoying his leverage till he gets banned. thelastorca: |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Frankdamaxx(m): 9:32am On Oct 31, 2019 |
kodred:This is not about machismo, its about taking responsibility and the attendant consequences. If you want the rider to cancel, be upfront and polite about it. |
