When i left there 2014 things were not this bad, But these days the story that comes out of the school is not palatable. imagine students going without light or water for days. |

iamJ:I don't subscribe to your barbaric first 3 lines... But, you are right in your last line. The protests should have been restricted to the school premises, especially the administrative blocks... They should boycott all lectures and barricade lecture halls... This very act is calling for police action, and Naija police doesn't follow best practices when it comes to riot act... They will start shooting to kill. |

Alexandro15:protests should be peaceful. Blocking roads or interfering with other ppls business or daily lifestyle is illegal. Why can't you demonstrate in ur school or VC lodge wot concerns motorist with ur sch palava let's not be selfish nd intolerant |

Renhuub:I think the problem is everything starts and ends here on social media. If anybody has hard evidence against the man with facts and figures and they submit or table same to EFCC, they will gladly swing into action. Until then, the thieves will continue to loot (I am sorry to say) |

PoliticalWitch:Oga, that's a lie. For those being charged based on estimated billing, tthey pay through their noses. Imagine paying 10,000 monthly for a mini-flat and not seeing up to 6 hrs electricity per day. Recently, massive corruption was uncovered in the power sector where over 30 individuals which include senior civil servants, contractors and past governors were said to have looted amounts running into billions of dollars. Contractors get paid and don't complete their work or they do nothing at all. I guess, that is also the fault of hardworking Nigerians right? |

Kentura:If all these are true, Nigeria is a messed up country. There may be no redemption for this country again. If the education sector is this deep in corruption, forget it, you can't win the societal corruption. This is where thoughts and philosophies of most Nigerians graduates are made. Damn! |

darkelf:Well, what did you guys expect. We are generating 4000MW of power a day. Lagos alone needs 10000MW of power a day for every house there to have light 24//7 You cannot expect DISCOS to give what they don't have. Recently, massive corruption was uncovered in the power sector where over 30 individuals which include senior civil servants, contractors and past governors were said to have looted amounts running into billions of dollars. Contractors get paid and don't complete their work or they do nothing at all. I guess, that is also the fault of hardworking Nigerians right?Yes, the corruption is making a bad matter worse. Good afternoon. |

Kentura:All those fees are less than $200 dollars. Meanwhile, in saner climes, fees are above $6000 and more. That's a big part of why they have light and water 24//7. Meanwhile, our universites were told in 2013 that the N3trillion promised them in 2009 was no longer feasible. What do you exepct your VC to do?? Keep pretending that the university is not broke?? |
| Re: UNIBEN Students Protest Along Benin-Lagos Expressway Over Poor Management (Photo by asunmoGGMU(m): 3:10pm On Nov 01, 2019 |
darkelf:The way we run the university system in Nigeria won't allow for development. I understand they are somewhat autonomous and they know how to perfect their dirty paths provided government is sending in an audit team or something. They cannot be caught off-guard. Most of our universities are just useless and unproductive glorified secondary schools. Yes, I graduated from one. But truth must be told. |

MusaChukwudi:You think we student will just obey laws if they are no punishment or strict adherence to it ....humans naturally break law unless when is strictly ahere to and even if laws broken are punishable men will still break it ...just imagine when there is no law to guide the main stance of the facilities... Or do you think they wont like it if laws were made to guide the maintance .... To give the facilites clean.... Youre only complaining of the student the authorities also break laws they make around school what about that |
