The only equity and fairness in this case is for Igbos to demand for the presidential ticket of PDP. It would be a just, fair, honest, and legitimate demand considering the enormous contribution of the region to the party.

APC on the other hand owes the Igbo nothing. Would there be an APC today if other ethnic groups have shown the same level of disdain and hatred for the party?

SE has non and the only APC Governor in the SE you worked had to ensure did not secure APC continuation in the State i.e Imo State. It was a personal mission of every Igbo, from Imo or not, to ensure the SE was rid of the APC via ensuring PDP won Imo. You achieved it.

Over two elections you gave Buhari and APC candidate, at all level, negligible electoral support. Let us not even talk of how you have damaged your own political stock with self-destructive actions.

Without mincing words, Igbos are worthless to the APC and of no electoral value. They are a sure-banker election loss currently because an Igbo is simply unelectable today. Nobody is saying Igbos should not contest for APC presidential ticket. What we are saying is that the party’s ticket cannot be microzoned to the south east the same way Wike argued that PDP chairmanship cannot be microzoned to the south west.

Ngige, Onu, Okorocha or any other Igbo person that want to contest should feel free to do so. Other candidates from the south should also feel free to contest. What is important is for APC to zone the ticket to the south. Period.

Based on our level of development, for most Nigerian political parties, the primary consideration in the choice of presidential flagbearer is 'WHO CAN WIN' the election for us.

I would say Obi/Tambuwal. If obi messes up( though unlikely) , he would he shown a red card after 4 years, like Jonathan. Buhari is having his second term because he maintains his integrity, though some of his ministers performed below average, the fact which he already knows.

Obi has no political clout at home, across region, or national level. How is he going to build a political structure within the four years left to 2023? He can contest but without a deep structure he is not going anywhere near victory.
