1. The killings of Igbos started in 1945 and 1953. Was Zik the president of Nigeria then? No! What has Zik got to do with it? Was Zik in power? Despite Ironsi was in power in 1966, yet the killings of Igbos didn't stop.


2. Adaka Boro wasn't fighting for the whole Niger Delta course. He was only fighting for the Ijaw people only. Before BIAFRA, there was NDR. Boro's struggle was only for the Ijaws. Simple!

3. You claimed Aniomas can choose their own identity yet they are the ones that put millions of SE Igbos in the mess we suffered and still suffering till today. No "military tradition" demands trial "within weeks" without concluding an investigation. The investigation panel had M.D. Yusuf the Head of Special Branch, Gowon, Usman Baba and others.

Some historians have inferred that Gowon who was Ironsi's eyes on the panel and the link-man with the SMC, deliberately slowed down the finalization of the report because it disappointed the "Igbo coup" narrative. Gowon was asked at several SMC meetings on when the report would be released to the council

I could agree with you to some extent here, they set the ball rolling only to be denying us now but Ironsi could have done the needful by speedily trying the coup plotters, shouldn't have attacked Adaka Boro, shouldn't have signed the anti-secession decree into law, shouldn't have refused the "Araba"(secession) the north wanted immediately after the 1st coup and other mistakes he made.

Why compare Boro's ragtag militia which you have said didn't kill anybody to Operation Damisa, a military coup which brought down an entire government with a number of high profile deaths. Use your head. Besides you alleged military tradition was not followed...Boro was tried by the High Court.

Besides .....the Nzeogwu coup involved hundreds of elite military men and dozens of officers representing every region that struck all over the country, killed most of the leadership and destroyed the government. Do you understand the complexity of such an investigation?

You cannot compare such to Isaac Boro and three or four men blowing up pipelines and attacking police stations in a few towns inside present day Bayelsa. (Two hour drive).

Thank you. I am an Igbo person, but I will always tell the truth. I am not blinded by ethnic bias. What confirmed that the 1966 coup was an Igbo attempt to place themselves above other Nigerians was the refusal by the Ironsi regime to arrest the coup plotters, and the total silence of the Igbo intelligentsia in the face of that screaming injustice.

If such a thing happened in the other way round, no Igbo person would accept it. But somehow Igbos expected Nigerians to quietly accept the murder of their regional leaders plus Prime Minister? That says a lot about the narcissism of the Igbo collective.
