1.It's possible....Pele was playing club football at 15.

2.Oliseh retired at 31. Once a football player hits 30....retirement isn't far off. (That's why clubs like Arsenal offer yearly renewal of contract for their over 30 players...even for guys like Henry.). Not everyone is Ryan Giggs (whom Ferguson felt was a genetic freak anyway...plus he was into Yoga and proper dieting.)

Thanks.

I was just wondering how a 15 year old had the bone to play Nigerian league.

Porbably the club's transfer budget wasn't good enough, or the fact that he might have to uproot family again might have made the choice difficult.

Still, twould be good if Oliseh considered the job again. In my opinion, half bread is better than none.

In my opinion, half bread is better than none

the above is not always true.

let me give you an example,if you stay in Lagos mainland, let us say agege and you have a job at lekki paying 50k per month, what is the difference between someone jobless and you, when 80% goes to transportation and feeding.

Very possible back then. Amokachi was playing I think for Ranchers Bees at 16 years.

He's basically putting his family into consideration. He doesn't want to be moving them to those countries yet he doesn't want to stay far away from them. Curse of being a Nigerian, if there were good clubs that could pay him well in this country, there wouldn't be a need for him to move to another country. I think he and his family should move permanently to the UK and he should get a coaching job around there as well when the opportunity presents itself.

This is what happens when you have added so much value to yourself and now knows how much you worth and can't settle for less.

I can definitely relate to that.

Yes, just patiently wait for Nairaland's bank accountants call to notify you on how to claim your illusory FTC paycheck.

Congratulations

He is more successful than you may ever be and to the best of my knowledge, Olise is so valuable to the point of turning down $3mil job offer.

I don't know you nor what value you must have added to yourself but I can categorically assert that no one has ever made you a $3mil job offer and here you are calling a person that is a gazillion times more successful than you and may ever be and knows his worth by turning such offer down arrogant and unsuccessful?

The only arrogant person here is you for calling someone else arrogant simply because he turned down an offer.

He is not desperate and he is also not looking for an immediate meal ticket and he knows what he can bring to the table which is why he can comfortably and conveniently turn down a $3milion job with ease, you can write them and accept to take 1% of that amount after all you ain't arrogant.

This is one funny platform where certified broke-ass peeps will be advising successful pepole on how to be successful.
