The only good thing there is that the guy is also a Norwegian...so he is eternally free from the retrogressive people, coneheaded structures run zoo capital.

Imagine coming back home and the next thing, accident!

This is really commendable, and the officers involved should be appreciated. A letter of commendation won't be a bad idea.

My fear is that the EFCC may be on his trail because of the foreign currencies listed in the article.

[quote author=BlackfireX post=83841052]Taaaaaaaa.... Damage control

What of the 3 people they killed at Ibadan some days ago, due to there recklessness.

Why is it that we don't take time to analyze things before commenting. Look at the point of impact of the Benz which is the front. Then look at that of the FRSC vehicle which is by the side. What does that tell u? It was the Benz that rammed into the FRSC vehicle. Let us always pay attention to little little details. It will help us.

all law enforcement in Nigeria are corrupt
FRSC is different guy. I can personally testify to this.In 2008 I was driving along upper sapkonba road in Benin city without my license. When they caught me I taught they were Going to request for bribe. I was shocked when they gave me federal government account number to pay in my penalty fee of 5k..sincerely they are far the less corrupt government organization in Nigeria.

Recently the elite corps was at it again, and this time a victim of RTC who was of dual citizenship (Nigerian and Norwegian) and had in his possession multiple currencies ($100USD BILLS, 500 NORWEGIAN KRONES, UAE DIRHAMS, and GHANIAN CEDDIS etc. was given a taste of the FRSC SOP as usual.

Biko what is the meaning of the RTC.

Some of them will see rickety Danfo bus and look away. But very active to jump on the road to wave down a nice car. Only to be asking for expiring date on your spare tire. undecided

Only One Law Enforcement Agency Can Do This...(pics)

There's no gain saying that the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is an elite government law enforcement agency that has since inception (Feb. 1988) distinguished itself among all other law enforcement agencies in Nigeria.

Besides ensuring a safer motoring environment via several measures including but not limited to Public Education, Clearing of Obstructions on our roads and Traffic Law Enforcement, the FRSC has lived up to and even beyond expectations in terms of prompt response to Road Traffic Crash emergencies.

In the course of carrying out these rescue operations, tremendous amount of valuables are mostly recovered from the crash scenes. These valuables ranges from electronic devices of all shapes and sizes, expensive jewelleries of all metal types, personal effects, cash (local and foreign currencies) and even vehicles which are meticulously safe guarded until the rightful owner or family member comes forward for identification and collection of course after proper documentation (written and pictorial).

All properties belonging to the RTC victim (electronics, Nigerian and Norwegian passports) including the multinational currencies were safeguarded and duly handed over without missing a dime. Infact the bag was never opened till family representatives arrived for collection.

The question now is which Law Enforcement Agency in Nigeria can boast of this level of integrity and professionalism?

If you say there is, state your facts and give pictorial evidence...

God bless the FRSC
God bless the Good people of Nigeria
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria
police ! police !! Nigerian police, them no want answer? maybe them dey road, make them come back.

For keeping safe items from accident victims they have it A1
For rendering help to accident victims they are doing their very best
For collecting bribes well as at today they are like toll gates especially on commercial over loaded vehicles
For asking of papers they are good at that and commendable
But for intimidating private car owners yes they are now doing it and that's not good at all "imagine road safety man once told me after stopping me and discovered that I have d necessary things like I was on my belt, extra tyre ,c caution ,Jack no worn out or expired tyre ,car in a very good shape.the officer now told me u don't want to drink pure water ,u wan show everything is in order abi?
I was like officer we are together u doing a good job
He now said do u know that u can never be 100% complete from road safety rules ,do u want me to tell u ur offence now and book u
I said ah na we we I know u will drink pure water but tell this offence
He smiled and said correct guy " Do u know ur supposed to have first aid kit in d car?
Where is ur touch
Where is ur rain coat
I said officer I trust u I laughed with him collected his no and gave him pure water before I left.
Now if I was not joking with him can u see that he could have easily booked me?
So of them are like that but very few unlike police

Las las we can't be free from LEA. Rules plenty no be small.
cheesy grin

Like bankers saying they have MPR, yet one of two of bankers may not be able to tell you what MPR stands for!

In Abuja, they are excessive o. We buy all the buyables, still the harassment is too much. They charge like the elite group you called them. 17, 000 naira for burnt out brake lights. As if the brake lights warn you before they burn out. 30, 000 naira for jumping the traffic lights. Mind you, 3 traffic lights you passed in a row there was no electricity. So you watched and drove off. Then the fourth one is working but you are not a robot, so you passed. The elite tax collectors will now bring out their charge sheet and fill it with a raft of offenses.
Basically in Abuja be on the lookout for them. They behave like you collect salary for them. Forget the documents story. The average aboki taxi guy doesn't have any documents, doesn't wear seatbelts, doesn't give a damn if you seize his vehicle. Na you go tire. They come after us. The guys who bother to renew papers and buy extinguishers.

O P you are right. They are disciplined although they may not be perfect like normal human being, especially surrounded with polluted minds of 'stealing whatever you can't attitude!.Many Nigerians will complain of driving cars without driver's license, driving without belt-up and all manners of offensive that stepping outside Nigerian shores becomes an immediate crime. They should be encouraged to stand test of time.
