65k For Aceeptance Fee At Uniben. Is it not too much? by Adakintroy2: 8:19am On Nov 10, 2019
So both my younger ones just got admission to study at uniben. (International relations and bio-chemistry?

But what got me astonish was the cost of acceptance. I still don't get the logic behind " acceptance". Anyway it was quoted at 65k per person( 130k for both). Plus the real school fees is yet to come. Which is around a hundred and something.

I'm my time it was 5k at uni uyo. Now I don't get how one gets past that and followup with school fees. Our mother is a teacher, her salary can barely take of things aroud the house let alone school fees. Father is retired. my elder sisters are working, but the financial pressure is hard on them. Me am a struggler.

I am mad somehow with the system. The minimum wage had barely flinched, yet other expense around people are just sky rocketing. I see why people steal at every opportunity in goverment. It heart wrenching.

This educational system. I feel are as corrupt as the goverment. The books are not in anyway updated with this funds. The building some of them since the 70s. They hardly get face lifts. Nothing tangible is being Done with this money yet There is steadilyy increasing. Not to mention this schools are getting grants from federal goverment. Someone should help me here. Cus I don't understand this.

My brother Federal universities aren't cheap this days, you should be expecting +70k each for their tuition fees aside other add-ons....
Last year the acceptance fees was 60k....

I think the best is to continue with the admissions because state schools tuition fees are also very high.

The fees will lower in the returning years of their academic sessions.
If the hostel fee is above 50k for each student, you better rent an accommodation outside for both of them to share, you can get a room between 50-80k...that will help cut the cost.
