Even as it is a federal road, the Niger State Government in the past few weeks has come under immense pressure on the issue of Minna-Suleja road.

Well aware that the Federal Government has made it clear that it will no longer payback any state government that fixes federal roads, still Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has gone ahead with the construction of the road.

Today the Lambata-Kwakuti section which before now takes well over an hour to travel, is now at the highest possible standard.

The Niger State Government has further awarded the same company the contract to continue work from Kwakuti to Chanchaga. Work has fully resumed and has currently reached Gangare village.

The Niger State Government is determined to complete the reconstruction of the over 80km of road so as to ease travel from Suleja to Minna.

This Buhari is just building only Northern roads. Is the north only region in this country pls.

FG this is unfair. Other regions are suffering. You must do the needful by extending your road infrastructures to other regions.

Somebody should tell the foolish mistake of a governor in Enugu state to intervene on the federal roads that passed across the Enugu capital territory.

The Enugu-Onitsha expressway, the section between New Market flyover to Abakpa junction is now a death trap.

What is Gburugburu doing in Enugu state.

What you to realise is that your politicians steal money meant for projects in the East but they come to tell you lies to manipulate you for election purposes.
Go and see how many NDDC projects that have been paid for but nothing on ground to show for the billions paid.

If I were lolo,I will not waste the state funds on the federal road,moreso that the big trucks will again make the road bad in 6 months.Since Lambata suleja is ok, I will instead repair the road from Gwada-Kwakuti which is a state road and stop any big truck from following that route.The state had spent billions of naira to repair the Minna-Suleja to no avail.

Going by thickness of the asphalt, the road will not last more than 3years.

Another waste of the taxpayers money.

Three years ago, Suleja - Minna would not take up to 1 hour driving at 80km per hour. Since then under the watchful eyes of the party of the "saints" it degenerated and started taking 2 - 3 hours even with the danger of the evil men on the road.

Government should not be thanked for doing what the politicians begged to be voted in to do. It is their duty whether state of federal and must be held accountable. The same governor was there since 2015. What was he doing since? That is his way to Abuja and he is always in Abuja. If he does not fix it who should fix it for him?

Please read the post more closely. The Niger State governor has decided to do it himself, even as PMB announced that states will get no refunds for working on federal roads. And Niger is not a particularly wealthy state.

There's no such thing as secret funding when it is owned by the federal government. There will allocations before any secret theory.
