Please, I need suggestion on a SUV (tokunbo/Nigerian used) that is maintenance friendly. I need it primarily to commute to and from work. My budget is 1.4m.
I have checked out some Honda CRV, Toyota RaV4 and Hyundai's santa fe and ix35 (on Jiji only to get idea) . Its all confusing

With your budget, you would have to settle for Nigerian used. Pick:

1. Honda Pilot 2005

2. Lexus RX300

I would pick the pilot personally

Whatever choice you make based on your budget,go for only Toyota product, avoid 6 cylinders SUV.

My reasons are:
1.Easy maintenance/Fuel cost.
2.Reselling value (Second hand value)
3.Availability of spare parts.

Murano came with new innovation of CVT transmission but unfortunately many mechanics went on servicing it regular ATF which destroyed the transmission eventually.

Murano is never a problem machine, it was made ahead of time compare to her counterparts. Use original CVT and good mechanic with scanner for service and you won't regret.

Oga there is a factory procedure to manually reset the ignition timing for Nissan and infiniti vehicles if you observe high fuel consumption under normal driving condition.

No, you don't need to laugh. I love how Innoson made their car expensive, else we Nigerians would've abused them more than we're doing now.

The best way to make a Nigerian respect a product is not to be cheap. Put the price where most Nigerians can't afford to get respect, then reduce after some years and maintain quality.

When SIM card started selling in Nigeria, it was at a price most couldn't dream of getting, let alone a phone.

Over budget.
Their vehicles are more expensive than durable Tokunbo cars.

They gave Khafi of BBnaija a small sedan car and they said its market value is N7million.

A 2012 Toyota Corolla tokunbo and a 2013 Honda Accord are more durable that the car, but also cheaper

How do you mean exactly? People use Murano and don't have problems with it, stop confusing lack of maintenance with functionality of the car.
We know the average Nigerian don't have any form of maintenance culture.
Service your transmission and u go to go. V6 3.5 and trust me better interior comfort that any of your Toyota or Honda for a 2006 car
