#HealThePain: Ndi Anambra deserve nothing but the best.

It is expected of someone as experienced, exposed and empowered as Dr. Godwin Maduka, to be reluctant in joining politics. But, the call to come #HealThePain of the people of Anambra has continued to keep him unsettled.

lt is unpatriotic for Ndigbo to be agitating for the zoning of the 2023 Presidency to Southeast, while we still debate the principle of equity in Anambra. Be it zoning or equity, southern senatorial district should be allowed to produce the next governor, come 2021. The excitement has gone beyond power going to Anambra South, the electorates and key players have got their eyes on Dr. Godwin Maduka as the next big thing.

At a time like this, when the Igbo voice is needed to be loud and heard clearly in national conversations, it is important we put our best feet forward. Dr Maduka’s strides in delivering excellence has further profiled the Igbo race in the world stage. His intimidating profile is second to none. Amongst his countless selfless service to the people, he has built three tiers of courts: customary, magistrate and high court, thereby bringing justice closer to the people. Being an employer of labor (home and abroad) with triple doctorate degrees in Anesthesiology, Pain Management and Surgery, there is no doubt about what he brings to the table for the good people of Anambra State. He believes that everybody does not need to reside in the township to get access to basic social amenities. Great deposits of core societal values are mostly discovered in rural areas, little wonder Jesus was from Nazareth and not New York.

It is obvious governments fail because they were only perfect in drafting excellent manifestos that will take a lifetime to translate. With Dr Maduka’s exposure to principles, processes and practice in the developed world, majority of Ndi Anambra and critical political stakeholders are confident of his big ideas, keying our state into becoming major players in the global league. We should be a template for other states in terms of good governance.

Proofs from the National Bureau of Statistics, has categorized Anambra as one of the states that has not attracted any foreign investment in recent years. Among Millions of questions begging for Answers includes; are we going to sit and watch people die due to lack of access to affordable healthcare? Or pretend not to know that our children don’t have the standard education needed to unlock the future of possibilities? Is our state secured enough to allow big ideas and strategies work? What legacies would we leave for generations yet unborn?

Suffice to say that, Ndi Anambra have grown beyond being deceived by rhetorical and deceitful political slogans, caterpillars deployed to abandoned project sites during election period, nor white elephant projects aimed at garnering support from towns and churches. For him, if a “godfather” is one that will encourage a governor to do more for the Anambra people selflessly, then, every other aspirant wouldn’t mind having one. The #HealThePain project is one that will validate our state as “the light of the nation”. It is crystal clear, why every society with a genuine passion for it’s people, desire and deserve a “Man Like Dr Maduka”.

Dr Maduka is a good man. If I were him, I wouldn't rubbish that good name with Nigerian politics. The politics of Nigeria is hoodlums, thieves and thugs. Politics brings out the worst in people. Let him stick to his generous humanitarian endeavours and forget the jungle world of Nigerian politics

Vultures are gathering to skin this poor man, Dr. Maduka, alive. By the time they are done with stripping him of his exchange rate enhanced wealth, they will carefully set up a fierce shootout at one of his outing to scare him back to where he came from.

I really do not know the reasons this dude wants to dabble into the dirty politics of Nigeria. I can only try to impact knowledge to people of Biafra not Nigeria.
