maybe be forget his brain at home,it was good idea,a lot of things are going waste in ogbomoso,cashew nut from ogbomoso is one of the best in the world,they need mini processing machine/silo,also ogbomoso mango is one of the best,tomato’s also go waste every season in ogbomoso.yam in oke Ogun axis as well,government need to be responsible,in term of loan with avoidable interests,should not be long process with almighty procedures like BOI....we need governments intervention in the agric sector.

I can't explain why Orji has no shame walahî..! As a Chief security officer of Abia, he didn't even think up suggestions like this through out his administrative days, na now e remember say agricultural value chains can be utilized abi? Even the Tree Crops we are good in did not get anywhere near the export level talk less of normal cash crops. Enyîî go and sit down joor.

Asking government to build mini processing firms will not work! The same issue that bedevils govt-owned silos will affect them.

With time, firms will key into the agro value-chain. Many were not interested because smuggling was easier and more profitable. With the borders closed, they would have to reconsider what they were not interested in. Let us be patient.

When will Nigeria Government reason beyond "rice and mango"( Agriculture) as if it is the means to development, why has nobody been talking about Technology, (Building machines). What is the essence of the Polytechnics in Nigeria. Why going to University when a software engineer, Electronic engineer, medical practitioners will only be advised to "go back to farm" after Graduation.

What's the business of government establishing industries? I thought Nigeria is practising capitalism. What happened to all the factories and others that government created back in the days, like textile mills and cocoa plantations, etc.

Government should face the business of infrastructural development and create policies that encourage private individuals to create these industries. Maybe they are looking at the opportunity to steal. Especially because it's coming from Orji Kalu.
