That's unprofessional. The guy just said the truth and the handler is running away from it. How will they not pay the beneficiaries their October salary till now?

How is that professional?
You are stressing someone more than permanent staff and at same time refusing to pay such person his/her entitlement?
An apology from Npower team will be more professional here. sad

People like you are the reason, the government will continue taking people for a ride. The complaint was lamenting non payment of stipend. Is non payment the purpose of the programme?

Apologize for what? After he already insulted the Npower Management..Why will he insult them, are they the ones to generate the money..Hasn't this beneficiary been reading the news lately where Npower was moved from the office of the V.P? Is it their fault that they haven't received money yet to pay beneficiaries...It's high time Nigerian Youth Now do more reading and reasoning than just grabbing a phone and typing thrash cos you feel your anonymous.

Ogbeni, calm down.

For NPower not to pay them, the management is already breaching their contract. And it's wrong.

Admitted, the language the guy used isn't the best under the circumstances. However, the fault still falls back on NPower team for not keeping their side of the bargain. You cannot beat a child and ask him not to cry. grin

The problem with most Nigerian employers is that they are aware there's a massive unemployment problem, so they are cashing in on the situation. Most Nigerian employers feel they are doing their workers a favour, which is a wrong notion.

In the United States, employers beg American citizens to work in the livestock industry. Those guys will work for 2 days, call in later to say they have quit the job. That's why it's dominated by Mexicans and other immigrants.

You see, any graduate who accepts to do an NPower job of #30k is UNEMPLOYABLE...quote me anywhere. As an instructor in my former job, I remember visiting NYSC camps to tell these guys to acquire skills at subsidized rates, but they would rather use it to buy clothes, chase after girls, booze and do other frivolous things. When they pass out from service, they will realize that they are unemployable.

The NPower management is well aware that most of the enrolless cannot fit into the industry, hence they accepted the government offer. No doubt, this is why the guy behind the handle is RUDE. A rational person will start by apologizing to the enrollee, reassuring him that they would be paid soon. Afterward, the enrollee will be impelled to apologize.

You are simply being preposterous. The volunteer has every right to vent his frustration against the management. It is the work of competent admin staff to respond to queries in an appropriate manner. Well, I don't blame you or the responder, this is what you get when certain positions are based on nepotism. Nonsense.

He's frustrated and every sane human being would have understood that. How can one work hard to survive on 30k and not get paid when his salary of 30k is due?

A proper PR training would go a long way in helping those in authority.

You can never see a public servant in the US or UK for instance reply someone online like that, no matter how annoying they sound.

You make sense here...my formal boss deployed me to work in yobe. I told him I couldn't work in such a state ravaged by bokohram. He told me "if you can't do the job we'll find someone who will do your job" indirectly saying we're gonna fire you.
So I resigned.
The boss did not even attempt to talk me into it, or persuade or motivate with some hazard allowances since I was gonna leave Lagos for Yobe. He was authoritative about every word. I told him I quit. He knew millions of ppu would take up the job.

What is the complain exactly? Is that your work is more than the permanent teacher and your pay is small when compare to theirs OR the little you are paid is not paid on time? If the former is your complain, you don't have a point because you are aware of this from inception. If the later is your complain then the Npower team should work towards paying on time.

Moreover, this is 18th November and the beneficiary's salary ought to have been paid @most 25th October.
