On the CAD/JPY, price closed with a bullish engulfing candlestick within an ascending channel on Friday.

If the bullish candlestick is confirmed this week, we could be seeing price move to 83.479 as the next possible resistance level. Mind you, a confirmation is very important before we commit to a bullish bias.

On the other hand, if price closes below support level 81.620, the Bears may charge to the next possible support level 80.034.

What are your thoughts?

General HTF sentiment is still bearish, however Friday bullish engulfing on cadchf and cadjpy confirmed the support at 0.7440 and 81.59 respectively was respected. If we see an upside MOMENTUM on the daily chart, we will most likely see resistance at 0.7559 on cadchf and if that is broken, we could see a 0.7634 resistance on same pair. With upward momentum supporting the Friday bullish engulfing on cadjpy, we will definitely see a 83.47 before the end of the week.

If there is no momentum backing the upside movement, the general HTF bearish sentiment may just continue.

For this week, I think oil and Brent will retest 23.6 retracement support level at 56.43 and 61.35 level respectively before a further move up to 60.2 and 63.08 resistance level for oyel and 63.89 and 65.76 and 68.71 resistance level for Brent respectively.

My intentions were not to analyse the market as to what GU would do this new week. It was just to point to what I felt I was seeing in the daily, weekly and monthly chart which seems more like bulish than bearish. However I think I see what you are trying to say. Last week Monday, a bulish engulfing bar was formed and Tuesday was Three outside up bar, and then as expected Wednesday, Thursday and Friday bar quietly formed bulish bars respectively. Next should technically be the formation of Bearish engulfing on monday and then next candle should be Three outside down on Tuesday which automatically meant Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will form bearish bar respectively, meaning we should expect a bearish market to 1.2822 daily support and 1.2763 weekly support level respectively before moving up to 1.3005 daily resistance or 1.3368 weekly resistance level or further crashing to 1.2612 and 1.2595 level.

However, in this market, I have learnt not to analyse what the market will do in the nearest future and how many pips it would go but to follow the chart as it moves and place trades accordingly, minding my analysed levels as guide and possible daily and weekly TP levels.

Mind you, these are just for the sake of analysis and theories. When the real life prices start, you have to follow your strategy.
