Lately at office, i had a little issue with the MD which obviously wasn't my fault. I was appointed to fixed up a projecting device for their meeting at GRA. Got there fixed up the devices, tested it and was working all well, just for me to hear the next day that the device wasn't working. So was sent there again with the head of unit, we got there and to my surprise one of the device wasnt working and did our best.
Obviously at this moment the MD is verbally and countenance mad at me.Even though wasn't given Tfare for the two days i went out
Now i was told by the head of my unit is best for me to Resign by this month than being sack.
I worked with Indians
Pls all nairalander what is the best option for me now, cause i was told if i was sacked it would be a bottle neck for me in the for my next employer.

Don't resign yet. If you are sacked, it won't reflect on your CV. Just relax hmm?

Does any employer do any back checking of their intending employee of their previous organisation during interview or aftermath?

Forget all these things you read online, there are only a few employers that will take their time to spy on your old records.

Just relax, collect this month salary, start scouting for new jobs and resume a new office in January.. Kapish?

It’s better to get sacked than resigning in some cases and organizations as there’d be severance packages.

Don't resign. Depending on your terms of employment, you are supposed to give a notice before resignation or pay in lieu of notice. If you resign, you may not get any money.

You may not be sacked eventually. Don't die before you are killed.

You see, there are.

However, where that usually happens is when you are going to handle money, meaning that it's common in Nigeria's banking sector.

It is common when you are seeking a key position in the bank NOT graduate trainee

In other sectors, it's not common, except for a few multinational companies.

Please don't resign from your job.

The issue on ground is so trivial for any serious company to sack a competent staffer.

Your superiors can only consider a sack if they noticed that you are incompetent, so they are always looking for an opportunity to drop the Sledge hammer on you.

Again, jobs are hard to get these days
