Cross River 2020 Budget by splash1944(op): 1:00pm On Nov 21, 2019
The Cross River State Governor, Sen(Prof) Ben Ayade kSJI has christened the Cross River State 2020 Budget as
budget of "OLYMPOTIC MERRISTAMASIS". The budget is estimated at 1.1 Trillion Naira. The Ayade
administration has seen the Cross River State budget rise from some few hundred billion naira to about
a trillion naira in recent years. Cumulatively the Cross River State budget from 2016 to 2020 has amounted
to over 4 trillion Naira with little or nothing to show for it.
Just recently, the Cross River State has been adjudged to be the worst state in Nigeria in terms of Budget
Transparency Index, and the reason is not far-fetch, simply because of failure in budget implementation.
The state of the roads in the state are very deplorable, Calabar which use to be known as the cleanness city in
nigeria, and the envy of all states has lost all its beauty with bad road network, filthiness, insecurity etc.
In fact, the Canaan city as it was then known is now the garbage city. The road from Mfom-Okpoma-Okuku and
beyond are impassable, poor infrastructural development and complete failure in governance in the state. instead of
focusing on infrastructural development, the government is busy embarking on media campaign on AIT and Channels
Television to sell fake and non-existing projects, what my friend Rude Boy of PSquare would call " Audio projects".
Below is the total budget proposal from 2016 to 2020 and how it there are christened:
2016 350 Billion Naira Budget of DEEP VISION
2017 301 Billion Naira Budget of INFINITE TRANSPOSITION
2018 1.3 Trillion Naira Budget of KINETIC CRYSTALLIZATION
2019 1.043 Trillion Naira Budget of QABALISTIC DENSIFICATION
2020 1.1 Trillion Naira Budget of OLYMPOTIC MERRISTAMASIS
From 2016 till date we have witness a continuous growth in budget estimation with a corresponding decrease in the
living standard of the people of the state, poor infrastructural development with growth in crime rate.

I don't even think this man is actually a professor, cross state IGR plus Federal allocation and the rest are not even up to 150 billion per annum, he is here presenting trillions as budget, the previous budgets did he realized up to 100 billion naira more or less a trillion, the likes of Delta, Akwaibom, Rivers, Bayelsa that are so rich cannot even boast of a trillion naira per annum, are you saying Cross/ River are richer than those states, apart from Lagos State for now, no other state can boast of a trillion naira per annum.
