You should have sat down with the owner and the tenants in agreement before making payment.

All the same, I will advise you schedule a meeting with the tenants, tell them your intention and also hear from them (someone has to introduce you to them as their new landlord -preferably the former owner).

The intro has been done, and the seven days ultimatum has been given, I intend to start renovation soonest, they are holding me back.

Were the tenants (relatives) part of the 7days ultimatum agreement and was the agreement documented?

If yes, then you have to legally issue them a reminder note after the elapsed of the 7days.

It's not a forceful thing bro. You have to exercise patience as no court of law will allow 7days notice for relocation especially in this economic situation.

Next time, please insist that the owner eject his tenants himself as it's not as easy as it sounds most times.

you really made a mistake purchasing such property.You should have called a meeting with the landlord and his tenant before payment ensuring that they evacuate on a certain them.On the course of evacuation you pay the landlord for the property.But since it has gotten to this level call a meeting with the tenant informing them that you are the new owner of the property and you will like to demolish the building in the next 3months.
