I'd like to think grace plays a role in recruitment process.
Connection matters too, but for jobs open to the general public, you need these three things, atleast to get invited for interviews;
1. An ATS complaint CV
2. A winning Cover Letter and
3. An Optimized LinkedIn Account.

Dm me to help you with any of them.

Mr Patrick you are too desperate to create a relevance with your content which are all unrealistic and not applicable to Nigeria

Tell.them the truth , there is a difference between the way things should be and the way things are , you neglect the latter at your own peril

Know the right people and you get the job.. all your so called interview tips or resume styling tips are total garbage and not applicable to Nigeria of today

To nairalanders

Know the GM HRM or GM people development, attend the sort of events I posted in my profile

Network ,meet the human development decision makers In any company

Start attending the same church or mosque with the CEO

See I have seen people get employed from the sitting rooms .. then get sent for training to get the required skills for the job by the company that employed them

Forget all these nonsense, these applied over a decade ago when we were still starting in tech and online recruitment back then but not today

If it's a government agency like DPR, PEF , FIRS, FAAN , NNPC , or PARASTATALS

Find a PA who works directly for a perm sec or senator and pay them, last I heard for FIRS they charge between 700k - 1.5

Listen I am not advertising I am.just telling you the sad unfortunate reality of Nigeria

Anyone who isn't biologically related to you that promises you a job in any of these agencies will just deceive you or sleep with you and abandon you.

That's the sad reality

Nigeria has gone to the pits ... If you can't afford it then try and get close to a perm sec and start attending his or her church or mosque they get slots too
Senators give their's away to their staff hence those ones sell it to make money that's how those charges come about

I just like being factual and not mislead people

Cheers
when you have no skill to showcase that's what you have to say, I just got a job of recent ( I.T JOB) , and we are still looking for an angular 5+ developer.
My point : most youths are not employable, because they have no skill, instead of you to advise people to go and develop themselves by learning skills, you are giving them a solution that's not holistic.

No you kissed my point

I was just cautioning Patrick to stop misleading them

Employability is a whole different topic let's not digress .. he is talking about how job interview performance and resume writing gets jobs and I cautioned him this doesn't apply in Nigeria

The angel you are bringing is different it's about the employability of the work force out there , that's a whole different galaxy
