Dalilah Muhammad scooped the female athlete of the year award at the World Athletics Awards in Monaco Dalilah has been named World Athletics’ female athlete of the year after a glittering season on the track. The 29-year-old American claimed gold at the World Championship 400m hurdles in Doha in October, having already broken the world record twice this year. Dalilah will return to the track to defend her Olympic title in Tokyo 2020, after the award she said in an interview: “It’s been an amazing year. It’s been a tough year but I’m so thankful.
