The home team made two changes to their side from their defeat to Newcastle on Saturday. Emerson came back into the fold to replace Reece James.

Azpilicueta shift over to right-back. Kovacic starts in the midfield in place of Mount.




Arsenal made one change to their squad who drew 1-1 against Sheffield United at the weekend.

Hector Bellerin returns to the team for the first time since December 5 and he replaces Maitland-Niles, who drops to the bench to accomodate the Spaniard.

Saka continues in his role at left-back, while Martinelli holds down the left flank in the absence of the suspended Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.



Arsenal, despite being 10 men since early first half played better after the red card. This left Arteta had Rob Holding sit back down again after first summoning the centre-back to his side to make a change to the defence, post-Luiz.

David Luis tried to save the goal from Tammy Abraham after he had dribbled pass the Gunner's keeper. He marked down the Chelsea striker and sees red card. The Referee also awarded the penalty which later resulted to goal by Jorginho.

The Arsenal manager hesitated and left Granit Xhaka in the centre of defence alongside Mustafi, who tried his best to atone for what had come before.

The German was only playing because Sokratis had reported with illness before the weekend and Holding’s recent performances had not inspired confidence
