. Polytechnic progression has Senior lecturer Principal Lecturer and Chief lecturer while university has Senior lecturer Reader and Professor.. By the time you become a Reader you are an Associate Professor.. Being a professor is just an appointment .no paper or conferences required.However in polytechnic you need papers and publications and conferences to be a Chief lecturer...A chief lecturer earns close to 500kas salary .Same applies to a professor...

It is 60 points.
All you need is to be First author in 20 journal articles published in top International journals. Preferably SCOPUS indexed. Local journals are also considered
