Nobody should just cry any yeye cry here. You were seriously warned against voting this DEVIL buh you turned deaf hear. He promised that he wont demolish any structure even if such is in the middle of the road and you swallowed all what he said. You managed to roll with him for his first tenure and allowed him rigged himself back for second term. That is big error on your part. My guys from Kaduna, you have NO OPTION BUT to endure the HELL-RUFAI you allowed to blossom right under your nose.Sorry eh!

Kaduna will be great again!!! people are being compensated, and the news is really bias, warnings and notice has been sent for over 3 years now!!! we have property there that was affected and necessary documentation has been put in place for compensation.

no wonder National Assembly wants to enforce social media bill, too much lies in one news

One question I will not cease to ask is,Why is El-Rufai more interested in demolition than development? The second question is,how many roads has he reconstructed or constructed since he came into power 2015?

Is road construction the only achievement a governor should be known for?
I thought you should be asking how many housing unit have he constructed.

jarawa:
Residents of communities living around Yakowa Road in Kamazo Area of Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna state on Sunday begged the state governor, Nasir El’rufai, to end demolition of houses in the area.

Daily Trust gathered that about 300 houses would be affected if the government continue with the ongoing demolition in communities like Karji, Babban Saura, Old Kamazo, Janruwa and Unguwar Mai Gero areas.

Daily Trust gathered that few days ago the State Government through Kaduna State Property Development Agency have already demolished some houses and an event centre in the communities.

Our reporter who visited the communities reported that the residents were seen consoling each other over the unfortunate incident as they picked up some of the debris left in the houses demolished. Residents agonised over demolition in Kaduna community.

Residents agonised over demolition in Kaduna community. One of the community leaders in Old Kamazo who spoke at a news briefing, Yusuf Zumo, said they (residents) were not issued notices by the authorities before they stormed the area and demolished their houses. He said the government officials accompanied by security agencies, police in particular went house to house asking people to vacate the houses at the middle of the night.

“We were all shocked when we saw them around 1:30 am on Thursday asking us to vacate our houses. We have never witnessed something like this in our lives. About 300 houses would be demolished and nobody came to tell us why we should leave our houses because no notice to that effect,” he said. Other residents interviewed also expressed their dismay over the government’s action, saying they have government approval before building their houses. They also claimed that they have no other places to relocate to as majority of them are pensioners that invested their life saving to build the houses which they legally bought.

don't mind southern kaduna people, in kawo mosque was demolished just yesterday, no any public outcry, many houses will be demolished in the same kawo just to accommodate new roads and flyover bridge ....

Go to kaduna and see for yourself. The man is carrying out dualisation of alot of roads within Kaduna city. Similar demolitions were done in the northern part of the state, people were compensated and roads were constructed and some still under construction. The thing here is that, if such constrictions are not done around kamozo, yakowa road and southern Kaduna, lots of people will be here insulting the governor for being biased but now that the work is extending to these places, people are coming up with other ways to tarnish the man's image. Lets try and be objective when criticising our leaders. Lets acknowledge good things they do and FIRE them when they do wrong things. The post is misleading, they should come out and clearly state the purpose of such demolitions and wether plans for compensations are put in place for them rather than been one sided.

Is normal outcry during demolition, there must have been a notice and compensation plan before now, the El-Rufai I know don’t just demolish.
His demolishing in Abuja gave Abuja they beauty of today, and those that need compensation were compensated.
Compensate who? Abeg check ✔ before you yarn dust

the el rufai you know from where?? Go back to the demolished areas in gwa gwa, karimo, giwa to mention a few in Abuja...and tell me the development you saw in those places .. am not against demolition if it Is geared towards development in the end. I currently serve in Kaduna and believe me those areas he wants to demolish is the least in his list of problems there are dying issues begging for attention , he should not demolish what he will not develope in the end ..just like many parts of abuja as case study (before you attack me, I live in abuja. So i know what am saying/writing)

If there's any member here resident in Kd am very sure he will not criticize the demolition the way you guys re doing, ponder on issues before you criticize and be on ground to know the fact, you don't jump at everything and criticize, Elrufai knows what he is doing and he is the Architect behind what Abuja metropolis look better today.

very normal for houses to be pulled down to give way for development

We should not wail over everything
if El Rufai really wants to demolished house to give a room for development it shouldn't have been that area at all, the place should be the last place to be developed because the place is developed already. the demolition is on personal matter

oga u don't have any property there, the only people given notice were those having shops/containers close to the road, first demolition along that road was done last year, the thing is that, hope those places would be developed after demolition, that place is even developed already,I could remember vividly, dualisation of road along barnawa, before station market was supposed to be done, what later happened there, that work was abandoned,

Seriously my heart goes to the people of southern kaduna with the way this guy carries alot of anti-southern kaduna policies with impunity. The height was when he vehemently selected a moslem as his deputy for the first time in the history of a democratic kaduna, moslem moslem ticket. To spit on the southern kaduna populace face, he said he selected the moslem deputy because he knows even if he select the pope as his deputy he will not get their support.....what an insult. Unfortunately he have all the federal backing wit PMB in-charge.
.
Kamanzo and surrounding areas are mostly well planned, the construction of a grade A road by the late kaduna governor Yakowa to cushion the stress and enhance development within the mostly southern kaduna dominated areas made the whole area very attractive with its layout. Now this is where this governor got it wrong. Kaduna state is not so congested the it lack land resources, infact there are vast lands begging for development. WHY not do any project you supposedly want to undertake on this available land??
