Ogbeni, it is not necessarily Cavill that will make The Witcher TV series popular. It's like saying Chadwick Boseman made Black Panther popular.
Why can't The Witcher be compared with GOW or Metal Gear? It's one of the biggest and best selling games of this generation. And the franchise is growing as well. With the success of this TV series, it will soon be considered an insult to mention GoW or Metal Gear in the same sentence as The Witcher.

BW and Eternals, not really interested especially BW sine she's dead. As for Bloodshot, wasn't impressed with the trailer.

Chadwick was in Gods of Egypt (And no. I didn't have to check Google.) I'm not comparing Boseman to Cavill. I'm pointing out how some roles are more beneficial to the actors than the actors are to the role.

And how is The Witcher not near God of War? As a game, I actually consider it better than God of War. As a merchandise, it is just as successful as God of War.

Bro, at least you tried in mentioning one (even though i asked for 2). However, there are instances where the popularity of the actor are beneficial to the roles.

Take for example, The Rock and Black Adam. The Rock is Famous and Black Adam is also famous (mostly to comic book readers/followers of the comic book franchise) but outside the CB world, how many people know about black adam? But as for The Rock, a lot of people know about him (both in the movie industry/wrestling industry/fashion etc... Hence him taking up the role has made BA even more known.... Same situation with Henry Cavill and Witcher.

GOW has been around for long and has always been amongst the best-selling PlayStation video games from PS2 -4. Same for MG (it has been amongst the best-selling PlayStation video games from PS1-4). This is consistency.

The witcher just entered best-selling PlayStation video games in PS4 which is to recent to classify it amongst them.

The catch is that they're casting another actress as Lois Lane.

Also, the funds for the film came from a private financier as Warner weren't willing to play ball.

2. The budget is on the high side for such project: 100 million dollars.

Rumours has it that another Superman movie is likely being drafted with Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman.

The movie will focus on Superman and brainaic as the main antagonist.

Honestly, I can't wait for this to happen, so that they can finally shut up some pessimistic people.
