Following the strike action by staff of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Lautech on the 18th of November, the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has waged in to the situation.

The Governor during a visit to the school met with the striking staff on Tuesday as he called for their cooperation.

He assured them that the Oyo State Government would intervene in the current crisis so that academic activities can resume.

“However, I told them we need their support to implement a lasting solution to the university’s challenges,” he added.

Gov. Makinde also moved for the sole ownership of the school by Oyo State.

He said, “We believe our proposal for sole ownership for LAUTECH is the solution the university needs. I reiterated that this was not a rejection of Osun State people as our brothers and sisters but a pragmatic solution, as Oyo State is financially prepared to shoulder the responsibility.”

Lautech is co-owned by Osun State and Oyo State.

Though I am from Osun State, I support this idea ,oyetola wouldn't pay any dime .

This is a very logical solution. I have always maintained it that Osun State should leave LAUTECH for Oyo State, since they already have their own state university "Osun State University". It's just like you having one apple already, and still want to share any apple with your friend. It's not fair!

It is all dirty media politics. This year alone, Osun has contributed much more than Oyo as she has been doing since.

Even Oyo is yet to refute this claim. They are just interested in stealing LAUTECH. Google the news where Osun produced evidences of payments which showed they are contributing more despite Oyo benefiting more.

It still doesn't make the car yours.
That's always the problem with joint ownership without an exit strategy. If you value the car so much, you'd just have a way to get him to sell his interests in it to you.
If you don't, upgrade that particular car to the latest version, he still co-owns it.
