So the Head of Operations in my organisation is set to retire by January 2020 and I'm been approached by colleagues to help in organising a memorable send-forth party for him because they saw my efforts when my immediate boss was retiring.

My immediate boss was more than a boss to me, he was a leader, a mentor and a shield. He protected me from the intrigues in the corporate world and ensured he had my back always.

During his send forth, I ensured everything was well organised. I brought in more creativity like putting all his pictures in slides, carrying out research to make his biography top notch and ensured it was read out during the occasion . i was also the MC of the occasion, thereby making sure the ceremony was lively, fun, emotional and memorable.

Now enter the out going head of Operations, someone I'm way under and pose no threat to whatsoever, but for reasons best known to him dislike me for no just course.

The reason for the first hostility from him was why would my immediate boss be pushing for my employment without first consulting him, perhaps to know if he have a candidate. That one slide as God eventually showed me favour.

About 6 Years later, there were some layoffs at the organisation due to downturn in business which led to the disengagement of some persons that are seen as untouchables. That generated a whole lot of issues with some persons questioning why I should be left out of the disengagement. God again shielded me.

Without any iota of pride, I dedicate myself to my work, create solutions and ensure I'm always inventing new ideas to tackle issues.

This man wrote a mail to HR questioning why I was left as some persons are complaining and therefore for peace to reign, I should be asked to go. My letter of termination of appointment was already typed.

HR team was divided with some saying I should just go, while others were saying I should be left alone because of my records.

Eventually, I was left alone as my immediate boss fought and made a strong case for me. May God continue to bless him.

Now this same man is set to exit the company after attaining the retirement age of 60 and I'm being approached to do same thing I did for my immediate boss. I have bluntly refused to have anything to do with his send forth party and other staff who don't know what i have been through are seeing me as a wicked person.

If you were in my shoes, what would you do?

Forgive him. I believe you are a Christian, forgive him and make his retirement party a memorable on. Believe me, if he has conscience, his conscience will definitely judge him. Make his day wonderful. Forgiveness is key

You are welcomed sir... I do agree with you but Its just that sometimes letting go and acting as if you do not know the intention of a perceived enemy puts them off balance totally, hence giving you an edge. Do not sweat it, it will be to your advantage.
Cheers!

Don't pay evil with evil. He will regret everything if you do thesame send forth for him. Meanwhile, is they any vacancy in your organisation? I am a job seeker and I wouldn't mind any role. Please help a brother.

Baba you must accept o. Don't let a wicked man left you with so much hate.

In fact, you should be committed to his exit, do the MC and dance that everyone would be like wetin this man chop today.

For the boss whom you see today, you shall see no more forever.

Baba dance, go to his office ask for pictures or show him what you've done and his biography if he likes it.
